“basic, very italian but gives good value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

the hotel provide full package for ski - including full board, ski pass and ski lessons - try to be like club med.
the ski lessons are from 09:00 to 11:00 and 14:30 to 16:30 limited but gives enough time to ski alone or with the family.
the ski instructors are good.
the ski equipment we rented in the hotel was in a reasonable price and in a good condition. the ski roon is not cozy but it efective spacious.
the ski resort is relativly small and even non profsional skier will use all its slope during the week.
the resort is not good for ski beginners since there are only 4-5 blue ski slopes aveliable, better skiers will enjoy.
the club is located on the slopes bur the ski in- ski out is not the best. in order to ski in you needs to use a long but enjoyable red slope but the ski out can be in a better location.
there are 2 major problems with the club:
a. the food was less than basic and during our stay, was served cold.
b. it is a very italian club, the apre ski activities is only for italians, and even the hotel signs and info is in italian.
BUT
once you will understand that it's not club med and the cost is much lower than club med, you will enjoy and fing a good value for money ski package.

If You , like me , love Italy`s fantastic Art , History , Towns , Scenery , Food & Wine you`ll be conquered by this constant attack on the senses in a ski-club in the Dolomites ,of all places . Brimming with kids of all ages this is as close to see nowadays Italy and Italian family as it gets .
Of course you`ll have your ski at the level of your choice and your share of everything else Italian in the package in a nice , natural way which is sooo typically Italian .
What are you waiting for ?

This is my second time in a Valtur system (first one was on Pila) and I still love those guys... Their team is really amazing. They reach to receive all those kids at early morning, change them to ski, give them food, give them fun, take them to ski again, give them food again and at night... a miracle. The kids don't want to go to bed until they finish... at midnight!!! Zzz... (Thanks Nino, Andrea, Vincenzo, Caccamo, Roberta and all team). Yes, the building is not wonderful, the room is basic and small but honestly... I´m not there to stay in the room. On the contrary. With the kids busy, I'm free to ski when I want and to spend the whole day outside. I love the skin in, ski out, the safe ski-locker (grazie, Martina!), the group you meet all day to ski on your level and the good atmosphere and also some nice friendships which comes from it, the ski teachers (thank you Massimo, you are great!), the nice photographers (be prepared: you WILL by it), the wide selection of food and the fun atmosphere around. Yes, in the end I´m so tired that my kids and I frequently quit the morning classes to sleep a little bit more. But it worth any cent you spend there. For whom I don’t recommend Valtur Marilleva: if you don’t ski (they will make you have fun anyway but I think it a waste of money), if you don´t have kids (the noisy and the crowd could be easily stress you) and for those who wants something more luxury. All the rest, specially moms and fathers bagging to an opportunity to ski with no worries about the kids, I am sure you will find there the "formula of the happiness", as I call them. Some tips:
- for your room: avoid - if you want to sleep better, the corridor which takes you to the Kids Club and also the upper floors, because the elevators are crowded and slow.
- for parking: try to arrive before the check in time, because the parking can be crowded when you get there.
- for check-out: be patient, it will be crowd! (Even so Antonio, Claudia and Giuseppe will make the best for you - thank you, guys, a warm Brazilian hug for you all).
P.S: Marilleva offers good and beautiful slopes, connecting to the famous Madonna di Campiglio. Enjoy it!

I stayed with three boys aged 16 and 11. The room is small but comfortable with a double and bunk bed. The food is very good and varied with new options every day for dinner. The kids enjoyed the night activity.
The highlight of the hotel is its location right on the slope and the instructors which are excellent and friendly.

We came here 3 years in a row. Since we are trying something new, I can let you know about it.
Ugly looking concrete building with an ideal location on the slopes. It has great value, great ski in ski out ,the site has good snow and lots of cannons , it is connected to Madonna de campio. The Hotel has excellent heavy Italian cuisine, practical rooms, some with amazing view. An indoor pool, and a lot more fun for people who speak Italian. The only language spoken Is Italian, so If you enjoy an all Italian holiday (like my teenage daughter ) its wonderful.
The package includes full board+2 ski lessons a day+ ski pass. It is cheaper to rent the skis next door.
Have fun

Room Tip: Of course it is nicer to have a room with a view.

Only the great location in the middle of the ski slopes makes this location worth to come. Also the food is of high quality with a wide selection and generous. With a lot of appetizers and deserts in all the meals. But if you need a reasonable coffee and orange juice in the morning to conclude the very rich breakfast, you are in trouble, only a powder based instant is available from automatic macines... The rooms are reasonable size for a ski resort, but a bit neglected with unbelievable small basic single beds that may be adequate in the best case for a teenager. The internet is very costly and only available in the lobby. They extra-charge on their spa, the swimming pool is open only for a few hours in the afternoon and is very crowded with children with no ability to swin and no adequate dressing room. The elevators are slow and half of the time not functioning, For instance, if you happen to be on the 8th floor you will have to climb 8 stories (only one of the 2 small elevators serve the upper floors). They hardly serve you because even if they seem to be functional, since they are so crowded and slow and it takes them endless time to reach you, you lose patience and have to climb. Forget having them working in the beginning or the end of the week when hundreds of people flock on them with luggage. Most of the time, especially in the afternoon and the evenings, the lobby is the noisier you can imagine with unbearable noise. This is also true for dining rooms. You can't conduct there a conversation to overcome the background noise (terrible acoustics). The screams of the children going lose everywhere contribute to that. Moreover they hosts in the ski period dozens of toddlers in special ski camps, which makes it even less bearable. If you are not Italian you are an outsider, very few people of the staff will be able to talk to you, the entertainment will be for Italian only and there is no other apree-ski options. In spite of that, the relatively good food, the good ski conditions and ski schools may help overcome the above problems and help overcome the frustrations regarding the above problems.
