“Cannot be described in words”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

I was told not to overlook this site. The walk was definitely worth the effort.

We walked along the beach to reach the massive white rock.

It was awesome and breathtaking.

It takes a bit of effort to walk up to the top, but worth it for the view.

The sea was as blue as blue can be and crystal clear.

Parking may be a problem due to visitors to the attraction.

“Nice Cliffs, Shame about the Water”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Unfortunately our visit to this site may have been affected by a recent storm that had gone through Sicily a few days before, churning up the oceans and making the waters of this bay quite cloudy, and throwing seaweed up onto the sandy beaches :-(
This place is about 16km west of Agrigento, in a little community called Realmonte (it might even be a suburb of Agrigento) and is relatively easy to find. As you get closer, you start to see some road signs pointing the way.
We followed the signs to a parking bay down on the beach behind a cafe. A young man collected 1 euro from us. We walked down onto the beach and then followed the signed track which took us around a couple of small bays, walking on the sand. It was a lovely warm and sunny day, but thankfully there were not that many people around.
The white, striated rock formation is quite stunning, and I imagine that without the recent storm, the waters would be cool and clear. Just not today.

“Stunning!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

We were so happy to seen these beautiful rock formations. One of the most stunning beaches I've ever seen. It's an easy drive from Agrigento or San Leone and definitely worth a stop for a couple hours. The water was so inviting! I wish we could have stayed longer.

“White marble cliff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Have been to many beaches from the cold waters of Massachusetts to the beautiful Caribbean islands but this beach tops them all. A white marble cliff with steps that were molded naturally over the years with sandy coves with red sand and clear blue waters. It's best to walk from Lido Rossello towards the cliff to experience the experience. It's amazing walking along the coast, sometimes a little rocky but don't give up it's worth the sacrifice. The view from atop the cliff is unforgettable.
