“A relaxing Holiday at Villa Aurea B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2011

A great place to stay. Very clean, spacious and tranquil. The owners of this Villa/Hotel who also run the place are so lovely too. Mr.Enrico Caruso is always ready to accomodate his guests and to make sure he meets one`s requirements to make your stay a true pleasure. We enjoyed every moment of our stay together with 3 of our children aged 7, 5 and 1. They too had a great time wondering around the beautiful gardens, lawn and splashing around in the pool. There also is a tennis court. The Villa/Hotel is set in the country side and therefore it would be advisable to have a car though we had no problems at all as we were also offered transfers around at very reasonable prices. There is also ample parking space on site. We often stayed around and ordered our lunch from various restaurants who deliver right to the Hotel. That goes for dinner too but we chose to have our dinners in the center of Pozzallo at some of the lovely restaurants which are only around 10 minutes away by car. I highly reccomand this Villa/Hotel especially if you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and yet just a short distance by car from the center. Thank you once again Mr. Enrico Caruso for such a warm and lovely stay. Luisa. St.Julian`s. MALTA

Fantastic place with a nice and quiet atmosphere. The beautiful garden contains a delicate swimmingpool and an extensive collection of trees and flowers. The mansion is very clean and delicate and it´s easy to see that it´s drifted and build by a former architect with a great passion for his work. It used to be a familyplace but has been converted to a perfect b&b located close to both Pozzallo and Ispica. Also not far from pearls like Modica and Ragusa. A nice place to calm down after a day in the city f.ex. Or just relax a couple of days. We´re most definetely going back! The staff is very friendly and attend the clients needs with a fast and friendly attitude. Good..good!!

What a fab holiday we had staying here at this lovely villa, Franco the owner although spoke little english was the most accomodating host, nothing was to much trouble for him, he went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay, The rooms were lovely, and a nice balcony view overlooking a lovely pool and barbeque area.
If your happy to drive this is the perfect holiday base, Franco was happy to sort transport out for us and arranged us to see the best of this lovely island.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2009

We stayed here three nights in October. The setting and layout of the gardens was beautiful and our room was large and comfortable. The owner, Enrico, recommended us great resturants in nearby towns and suggested places to visit. He was very friendly and helpful - he even served us breakfast late when we overslept on our first day - it was nearly lunchtime! The only hitch was having to drive (around 10 minutes) to get to restaurants or to the sea. After 3 days we moved to Enrico's other hotel, Mare Nostrum, which was in the nearby town of Pozzallo on the coast. No sea view but a lovely large clean room, very central and only one block back from the sea. You could walk from there to the beach, or drive another 10 mins to larger beaches at Sampieri or Marina di Modica. We would definitely recommend Villa Aurea for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful environment. It's also a good base to visit the beautiful baroque towns in the region (Modica, Ragusa, Noto etc)

Villa Aurea is a beautiful Villa about 1 mile from the centre of Pozzallo. Its run by a man called Enrico who is so helpful and helped us make restaurant reservations every night and generally gave us loads of good advice. The setting is lovely with lime trees everywhere, the rooms and air con are great, the breakfast is lovely and the pool is heavenly!!
There was a mixture of people there from couples to families and its perfect for everyone,
We will definately be going back, we may even get married there!

We've just got back from a fantastic holiday here. Villa Aurea is quiet and tranquil with everything you could need. The owner is friendly, helpful, funny, and passionate about the surrounding area, which is beautiful.

Looking forward to returning soon.

We've found Villa Sara by chance. Initially there was no plan to go there, or to stay for more than a couple of days, but after a few hours of staying we have decided to spend the whole week there. Enrico and his staff are great hosts, they care about their guest and make it with discretion. They can recommend places to visit, restaurants to find sicilian typical food, the right wines. The villa is gorgeous, near to one of the nicest beach of south Sicily (S.M. del Focallo). It is in the area of the most important towns of barocco (Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Noto, etc). But far enough from "noise and trafic", to allow a real relax!
