“Perfect place to stay in Noto”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2012 via mobile

Fab place to stay. Rooms so clean, air conditioned, international tv, kitchenette to give you an opportunity to eat/drink in. Breakfast served in beautiful garden-also a lovely place to have an aperitif. Owner was so helpful and pleasant. Highly recommended.

This charming B&B was a private home and stable for many generations, recently remodeled into a wonderfully historic place to stay in the centro. It is a welcoming spot with rooms that open to the garden, very quiet and peaceful. The excellent breakfast is served in the glorious main house that is also a private museum of items collected by the family over generations. You will feel a part of this charming town.

Room Tip: The garden rooms are so peaceful ... a great night's sleep.

My wife and I did a Little trip around Sicily last September. We went in a romantic mood. This hotel is not at all romantic. But Noto is a very hard place to find hotels. I couldn’t get something better at a reasonable price. So, if you do not ask much from a room, it can be an option. There are two big problems: 1) The bathroom is small and ugly; 2) If you get a room that faces the street, it is noisy and obscure. The best part is breakfast. I’m not a fan of Sicilian breakfast (mainly rich pastry), but this is more French style (even with pains au chocolat). And when you finish your meal, the owner takes you to visit the so called “palace”, a 17th century house that used to function as a small museum.

The service received at Giardino del Barocco was so good it actually prompted me to write my first ever TripAdvisor review.

This is a fantastic little place to stay in Noto. We stayed in a room just off the beautiful little garden and loved it. The building is very old, but was more than comfortable and the little garden area is a lovely romantic spot to sit out in the evening.

The breakfast was good, taken inside the owner's house (which used to be a museum). The owner is very friendly and happy to show you around and tell you about the history of Noto.

Parking is the only difficulty (much like in the rest of Sicily!) but this little B&B is well worth the effort.

However, the very best thing about this place is the first class customer service. I actually left a kindle in my room and returned back to London. I emailed as soon as I got home, with little expectation of getting my kindle back, and they replied promptly to say they had found it and would send it asap! They sent it the next day, well packaged, with recorded delivery at no cost to me. Absolutely fantastic.

Could not ask for more!

This B&B feels authentic and perfect for a short stay in Noto. It is very close to all the sights, clean, and offers a breakfast that combines family and palace experience. We had a lot of difficulty finding it, but once there found street parking and could walk everywhere easily in the historic district.

This is a historic house (actually a Palazzo) that has been in the owners' family for about 100 years and once held his grandfather's office (an obstetrician) and still as the original tools etc in the recreated office.
Every room has different floor tiles, wall paintings etc.
This is really like sleeping in a museum!
The owner is very friendly, the rooms are very spacious and breakfast is more than ample.
Not least, the hotel is about 4 minutes from Noto's main street in the historical quarter.
Highly recommended!

Even if the owner is very involved and keen to discuss, the overall prestation of this place is deceptive especially if u end up in a street room (the heat can be stunning innthe room while u cannot open windows). Am sure noto has better to offer. The breakfast is a good surprise but instead of trying to
Make fuss it should focus on making the essential appetising. Was among the pooorest experience we had in Sicily
