“Great pool, ok location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

Stayed here 13-20 July 2012, and had a lovely time. Was a bit daunted at first with the location, as it is a little way out of town (20 min walk) which is not pleasant in the 35 degree heat we had! Also it's even further to the beach, but we had a hire car which I would definitely recommend. It is free parking in the town in the evening, so we drove everywhere with the blessed air con on! The best beaches to be found were about 15 mins drive north of San Teodoro...white sand and turquoise waters...but you will need a car to get there. The apartment we stayed in was basic but fine, with an amazing location right around the pool area. There was 1 loo roll when we got there, but no washing up liquid/brush or bed sheets. Air con worked though which was a big plus! The pool was by far the best aspect of this complex and we are so glad to have had it. It is large and well maintained and mostly we had it to ourselves! Not many English speakers in the staff, so the one dinner we ate at the restaurant there was not all that successful, so I would recommend heading into the town around 8pm to experience the many amazing pizzerias. The town becomes pedestranised at 8pm and by 10pm is a lively market place...excellent for people watching with a gelato and crepe in hand!
Overall we had a really pleasant stay in San Teodoro - despite the hill side fire that threatened to send us packing! I would certainly recommend it for the laid back atmosphere, beautiful pool and amazing beaches nearby, but would definitely say hire a car to experience the best of what this area of Sardinia has to offer.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room so you get use of a garden, rather than a balcony, and ask to be around...

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

Stayed here 9 - 16 June and really enjoyed our stay. The pool on site is huge and fantastic as is the grassy are around it. Most of the time we had it to ourselves. It only got 'busy' max of about 8 groups around 4.30 - 6.30. The town and beaches are not that far away on foot provded you don't mind a stroll. It's only about 10 - 15 mins into town and 30 - 35 mins to the wonderful La Cinta beach. The staff at the appartments or should I say little village, as we had a wee terrace house with a front and back garden, front and back terraces, front and back doors. The front garden even had a wee wooden gate, a right home from home. Anyway back to the staff they are very helpful although they don't speak much english. That's fine if you enoy a game of charades, we did a couple of times and were understood. It would make sense to maybe note down a few choice phrases that you think you may need before you go Yes towels and sheets are extra and there is no loo paper or wash up liquid etc but you can soon get that at the supermarket. Do keep some water for drinking when you get there especially if arriving late at night as there are no shops in the immediate vicinity. Supermarket is only about a 10 mins stroll away. We self catered whilst there and there is everythig you need in the appartment to cook a full meal if required. Eating out in the evening tends to be a late affair and the menus take a bit of getting used to. All in all we had a lovely relaxing holiday at Le Tre Querce in San Teodoro. We asked about keeping our wee hoose later on the day of departure as our flight was later in the evening and the kind man, owner maybe let us have it at no cost. You don't get that every day.

Just returned from a weeks holiday at Le Tre Querce. We arrived early evening to a basic apartment. Ensure you organise linen, towels and ask for toilet paper too, as later found out these are extras and only provided upon request. There is no air con and we didn't have a T.V. The complex is a way out of town (half hour walk) along with the beaches, so car rental a must. Avoid La Cinta beach in peak season as v.busy. A huge bonus with Le Tre Querce is the pool. Its fantastic. A traditional four course diner menu is also served at the restaurant which was good. All in all a very tranquil holiday. A huge bonus was that the Pool is usually empty during the day and you don't have to reserve a sunbed first thing in the morning.

Le Tre Querce is a quaint and quiet resort situated approx 15 mins by foot from the town centre where you will find supermarkets, banks, restaurants and even a funky night club on Fridays and Saturdays. On another note be aware that all shops open 8.30-1 and then 5pm -8pm if you need to get some shopping in.

The rooms are clean with basic amenties including towels, linen, comfy beds, terrace/ veranda, kitchenette and great showers.

The pool is the real selling point which is large and clean.

I would recommend if you do stay at Le Tre Querce that you do hire a car as La Cinta (the beach) is a fair walk and also it is worth having a car to explore the other beaches around the area too.

Staff are friendly, although they speak limited English, so don't forget your phrase book!

All in all, a great little find at a bargain price for Sardinia
