“SIMPLY WONDERFUL”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

Just returned from a week in Puglia staying at this amazing hotel. I loved it from the moment I arrived and it just got better. The rooms (there are 10) are beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable and spotless - the staff are wonderful, friendly and the service is exemplary. Nothing is too much trouble. Great location too - right on the water - with amazing views from terrace and roof. I highly recommend Don Ferrante to anyone who enjoys unfussy luxury and the personal service you get from a small hotel. I will definitely be going back!

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautifully furnished with the best quality fixtures and fittings and all with exq...

We stayed here in July 2012 for our honeymoon. We arrived by train and we were collected at the station by the hotel in one of their buggies, a great start to a great stay. We stayed for 14 nights at this hotel the first 5 we stayed in one of the smaller rooms with the remainder in the amazing suite. We found all the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful from looking after us at the hotel and also recommending day trips around the local area and wonderful restaurants for lunch and dinner including places which were frequented by locals! The first room whilst quite small was very well presented and extremely clean with great shower and great air con! the suite was magnificent with plenty of space and amazing views of the sea. The bathroom was large and had a massive shower, room again was exceptionally clean.

The breakfast was lovely and fresh with plenty of choice we only ate dinner there once and the roof top restaurant was lovely. The fact that the hotel was so close to the town we had plenty of choice for different restaurants. The location of the hotel is perfect with a 30 second walk to the sea and in the middle of the old town with lovely buildings and scenery.

Even a year after our stay we look back with fond memories and are very appreciative of the staff who made our honeymoon so special - sorry it took us over a year to post this review and once again thanks for your attentiveness and excellent customer service!!

Lisa and David

Very nice hotel in the historic center of Monopoli. Had deluxe room with plenty of space-modern and comfortable room amenities. Convenient to old city, shopping and restaurants with public and private beaches within walking distance. good location to explore the region. A/C worked well.
Good breakfasts with excellent coffee and selection. Following staff were particularly helpful and gracious: Sonia (at reception); Guy from Cisterino who took us to car and the Breakfast person.
Only difficulty was the parking-Monopoli quite crowded June-Aug and hotel has a few spots in a gated parking lot about 15 minutes away. Getting in and out of the lot proved to be problematic at times, involving a remote which was initially poorly explained. Hotel should look for better parking solutions.
Although many members of the staff were warm and helpful, the owner and some others were very reserved at best and organizatonal skills could be improved.

Room Tip: Deluxe room was wortht he extra 30 Euros a day

This hotel has a very good location, just whithin the centre of Monopoli.
It is very comfortable and "cosy" brecasse it has only like 10 rooms.
The rooms are amazing, combinning traditional decoration whith all the high tech features needed in a hotel room. For me, one of the cleanest hotel rooms i've been, everythig smeel good and clean.
The service is top and the swimming pool and other áreas are nice and comfortable.

Obviously this is not your average trip. We are looking at boutique hotels in Puglia. Here in monopoli we stayed at a very romantic and superbly situated hotel Don Ferrante. Perched high above the rocks we slept to the rythem of lapping waves below. Roof top terrace, azure waters and staff that cater quietly to your whims. Splurge and get the best room in the Hotel just this once it's worth it! The king suite, living rm, bedroom, bathroom all in soft creams and beige that compliment this whitewashed gem. A typical light lunch can be served poolside on the private terrace or venture to the old town and explore the options. Don't miss the Cathedral and a sunset boat ride is of course the perfect place for a cocktail or dip in the sea. This is the place to let go of the outside world and just chill under a warm sun in peace and quiet.

Room Tip: The king suite! This is for a splurge if you can do it. If not other rooms smaller and with limite...

This was a gorgeous hotel, with the two level sun deck being a particularly lovely spot. Our room was beautifully decorated, relaxing, peaceful and calm (apart from animated voices on the street at night - all part of the experience!) and we had a beautiful bathroom almost the same size as the bedroom. The service of the front of house was excellent, above and beyond the call of duty, in particular Alessandra was especially helpful. We had a couple of issues during our stay (nothing to do with the hotel), but they stepped in and helped us, which was much appreciated. Another thing to mention is that monopoli doesn't get much space in some guide books but is beautiful and definitely worth a stay.

we stayed for a week in Monopoli and were pleased to have this hotel in the old town. we are not used to rustic white stone being painted white on the outside , but it brings us into Puglia where white is common against the heat.
the natural stone inside is apparent and the interior is stylished and trendy furbished .
the personel is extremely friendly . Located on the citywalls on the rocky beach near to the very center of the old city feels like the best spot you can get .the view on the roofterraces is magnificent.
it was end march and the pool was empty . a full pool would be nicer to look at.
a pity that rooms did not povide to make some coffee or tea and all toilets are in the bathrooms , no alternatives.
