A unique guesthouse in a unique place. Beautifully decorated rooms with so many authentical details. It took us an hour to admire them all. Very friendly staff. A relaxing place to stay. Nice balcony and garden . We'll be back. Don't forget to visit Mystras.

I knew it was going to be a great place from the reviews and from the pictures but it has exceeded all expectations. It is a magical and beautiful place, from the position, views, gardens, interior, breakfast and service.
By far the best B&B/Hotel I have been. The quality of everything is outstanding, from the mattresses, the design, the breakfast, the showers. I am in love with this place and would happily swap my house for one of its apartments!! The children loved the free reign over the garden and the fruit picking. Will def go back asap!

A must for anyone who goes to Mystra for it is a 2 min away from its entrance, and even those who don't. The views over Mystra, Sparta and the Taigetus are breathtaking and there are lots of other places to visit.

Do yourself a favour and go there.

We can be very short about this place. It is superb in every aspect. Room, view, beds, staff and anything else. And if you stay here we highly recommend the nearby restaurant Chromata just a few hundred meters uphill.

Guesthouse Mazaraki is one of the best places I have ever stayed. Staff is so polite and helpful. It only has a few rooms, perfectly decorated and practical to the last detail. Everything is thought of for the guests to have a great stay. There is a fireplace in every room. Breakfast is brought in the morning (at the time you asked for) in a basket that contains frest food and traditional products. The night before you can give them your preferences for next morning. The view of Mystras from the rooms is amazing. It offers real value for money. Highly reccomend it.

We found this little guest house quite by accident. Marie Elena was so welcoming and so lovely that if we could have stayed longer, we would have. This is a very tranquil spot with beautiful views overlooking Sparta. It is a walk to Mystra but not unduly long and very pleasant. The breakfast set us up for the day and the sister restaurant a little further up the hill is a wonderful place to dine at night. The hospitality here is second to none.

Of our three week trip around Greece, late May to mid-June, we spent one night at this hotel, and this stay produced one of our few major regrets on this trip. Had we known what an incredibly beautiful and attractive place this is, we would certainly have cut something else out of our itinerary in order to add a day or two here. The hotel sits high on a mountainside on the amazing road to Kalambata, just beyond the historical site of Mystras (which is what we had come to see) and above the city of Sparta, which lies in the valley below. Each room features a very spacious balcony overlooking this valley. Our room was the most restful, tastefully decorated, and attractive of any of the eight hotels we used while travelling in Greece. Indeed, our room was probably among the loveliest we have rented anywhere in any of our travels. As night fell, the lights of the city, the beautiful night sky, and the bright orange moon simply hypnotized us as we relaxed on our balcony. Truly a warmly relaxing experience.

When we first arrived at Mazaraki, the very personable Marlena was waiting to show us our room and orient us to the area. Breakfast is included in the price, but guests order it the night before and it is brought to their rooms in a basket in the morning. When Marlena found out that we were leaving early in the morning, she made our breakfast basket for us and delivered it to our room that evening. She also made one of the best suggestions of our entire trip: she recommended having dinner at a restaurant named “Chromata,” located just a few switchbacks up the mountain behind the hotel. Chromata served the absolute best food we ate anywhere in Greece. If you are visiting Mystras or Sparta, do yourself a favor and have a meal at this place. We were astonished and enraptured from the first bite.

We had carefully planned our trip, with hotels all booked in advance and driving destinations nicely mapped out. If we had only known how special this place is… at least one extra night, maybe more….
