I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions, typically as I transit through Europe. Selters is a small town in Germany, about one hour drive from Frankfurt.
A few things that you should know: the rooms are small, but all have a private bathroom with shower. There is heating but no a/c. The hotel has two room standards and the difference seems to be room size: micro and mini, and how many stairs you must climb. There's no elevator. The included breakfast is plain but good: boiled eggs, cheese, yogurt, ham, fresh bread rolls & coffee. The rooms are impeccably, unbelievably clean. The hotel has a small parking lot but I've also parked in the municipal spots directly in front. There's no 24 hr reception so if you plan to arrive late, make arrangements in advance. (One time, the owner/manager came at 2 am to open the door for me. It's that kind of hotel.)
The hotel is also a small restaurant/pub. I have arrived at 9 pm, ordered a beer and then asked if the kuche was still open. A nod and 15 minutes later, I had a plain, good meal before me.
I manage rudimentary German and book through the hotel's website using Google translate. In fact, some of the hotel employees speak English with a charming, hesitant accent.
I strongly recommend.
