“Luxury honeymoon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

Absolute luxury; from the rooms, the food, the location, the owners, the pool, the sports cars, the relaxation, the pinot…

Whilst Le Logis is in the middle of the French countryside the owners will collect you from the TGV. Whilst there they will lend you bikes, make you a picnic or hire you vintage sports cars. Fantastic

Perfect honeymoon. Thank you.

Room Tip: You will need transport if you intend to go anywhere further than a stroll.

Warm welcome on arrival. Delighted with accommodation. Charming cottage with plenty of space for our family of four. Beautifully clean and maintained with everything we needed provided.
Owners were friendly and helpful offering local advice and information, nothing would have been too much trouble.

La Magdeleine is a pretty but quiet hamlet within easy reach of the baker, local shop and PO and not too far from a range of supermarkets if needed. Wonderful quiet countryside on all fronts with lots to explore and do.

Logis du Paradis was the accomodation and hospitality highlight of our 14 day trip from Nantes - St Malo - Cognac.

The large stunning room was outstanding in every way, as are the building and grounds that are Logis Du Paradis, the 'coutry-house' style dinner was an event in itself and the leisurely feast of a breakfast truly set one up for the day .

All of this AND Sally and Nick as well...perfection, they are the very definition of 'attentive' hosts
- they did everything right, first time, every time.

To ourselves LDP has become the standard by which we judge all others.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms have own terrace area

As soon as we arrived we knew we would enjoy our stay - we had the warmest welcome ever. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. the pool area is quiet and relaxing and every meal we had there was delicious, and most were served on the lovely terrace. The best thing was the hospitality. Our hosts Sally & Nick felt like old friends and even came and rescued us when we got lost on a walk through the nearby vineyards.
We will definately be back and will recommend this place to all our friends.
Fabulous!

Room Tip: just enjoy - all the rooms are lovely

We returned in May 2011 for our third visit here.
We needed to "Chill out" and oh how we achieved that!
Great accomodation and, as others have said, Nick & Sally are perfect hosts and their local knowledge really does make sure you get the most out of the region.
Borrow the Bramble the Dog and go for a walk...visit the local Post Office for a suberb meal
(Ok it turns into restaurant at night!) visit Angouleme or do nothing gracefully by the pool
Breakfast outside...(and dinner on the first night) Just so relaxing
Damn it why aren't I back there instead of freezing in Northumberland!
The utter antithesis to a souless chain ....(no matter how posh!) This place has character!

We spent 3 nights here in December and couldn't have enjoyed it more. The bed was the most comfortable by far of all in our 3 week trip. The room very large, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was modern, spacious and excellent. Dinner and wine was spectacular and made special by the friendliness of our hosts Sally & Nick. Breakfast was sublime. I can't wait to go back in the summer when I understand that they often eat outside. Great value for money. What makes it really special though is Sally & Nick's local knowledge to help you get the most from the region.

This is a lovely place that offers excellent value for money. It does not offer true luxury but it is beautiful, rooms are spacious and the hosts friendly. We had dinner here and although the food was not spectacular (but perfectly fine) it was very nice to sit outside in this quiet place.

For the price we highly recommend this place.
