A very nice place in Croatia with wines that are both tasty and enjoyable
expensive but quality superb would love too enjoy a holiday there but when I inquired was closed for the period I wanted this would be a ideal base to discover Novalja
and the island of Pag

We stayed at hotel Boskinac with a large group of our family and friends while we explored Pag Island. The hotel is beautiful and a perfect place to relax away from the city. The combination of pool time, the wine cellar and relaxing in the outdoor cabana was just what we were looking for. We had great food in their restaurant combined with fabulous service as we celebrated the birthdays of two of our family members. Their wine is fabulous and highly recommended, especially their whites. The rooms are very large, spacious and comfortable. It was a perfect stay for us.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the hillside or courtyard. You really can't go wrong with any of...

My cousin and i were going to Zrce for a wild boys weekend but we are a bit older (35) so as much as we wanted to party with all the younger people on zrce we didn't want to be surrounded with the madness 24/7. Boskinac was the absolute perfect alternative. It's situated in the middle on a farm with nothing surrounding you other than olive trees and rolling hills and only 5 minute drive to the madness. The hotel was impeccable, the service, outstanding and the restaurant to die for... I can't wait to visit again.

Room Tip: the suite that has the large bedroom, two bathrooms, living room and terrace. i believe it's on...

It was the first time I came in Croatia. I loved the kindness of people here and in this hotel it was just perfect. Only few things were a little bit sad like not having a very good wifi connection in the rooms (perfect in the lobby however), not having some foreign newspapers... but it is essential ?
The staff is very discrete and very qualified... if you ask for information they will give u all the necessary insights and they remember few days after your initial request and ask you if you decided something and if they can do something for you about it.
The room I had was just perfect... no noise, big bathroom, gigantic bed, beuatiful view...
You have probably the best restaurant of this island with the best wine !
For sure and if you want to go to Novalja you have to go to this boutique hotel.

For the whole duration of my stay at this place I was made to feel very special.

Staff have struck a perfect balance of being there for you all the time without being overbearing.

For instance while at the pool during the day I would sit there for a few hours listening to nothing but crickets with my partner to suddenly reach for my glass of wine (they bring all cold drinks out in a fancy ice bucket like in a restaurant) only to realise it was empty. No sooner would I go to get up and a waiter would come running out to the pool asking if there was anything I needed...

When we got there we were also very impressed with the manager. We told her how much we payed for a taxi from Novalja and she became very upset, we didn't mind it was only 100 Kunas for a long enough journey, but she arranged for us to have free taxis with that company for the rest of our stay.

The food at the restaurant is very good but leave the ice cream alone because it is strange and a little warmer than it should be. Stick to fish dishes if you can as the pag lamb which seems to be a favorite on the Island is always chewy wherever you have it. Also agreed with a previous comment about fly's and other flying insects being a nuisance at times but you are in the middle of one of the only green areas on the island.

Could not recommend this place enough for a relaxing break where you just want to lap up sun, drink nice wine and eat good food. I went after a pretty heavy festival on Zrce beach so this was perfect for me.

Before I start, this is a magnificent hotel, restaurant, winery and destination! The staff are exceptional too! But, as I said the devil in the details. Our beautiful room had creaky wooden floors, no plugs in the basins, no sound in the radio/music system, and surprisingly enough NO WINE in the rooms bar! Flies were everywhere in the restaurant, so an idyllic breakfast on the terrace was ruined, as the flies were gathered on all the food. Not to mention the coffee was from an automat-machine, yuch!, they have proper coffee machines! The food in the restaurant provided excellent food, just none of the dishes I saw them produce a few months earlier for a TV show I watched. NO Cheeses at all, we were told they were out of season? So, I was both elated and disappointed whilst here for 2 days. It is not inexpensive, although ALL drinks are very reasonably priced. The Cab Merlot red and Grand Cru white wines are exceptional. We will be back, I just hope they sort out the annoying little details. The ALL-IN Experience will cost you around 350 - 500 € a day for two.

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic with views, some better than others. All rooms are as big as normal suites i...

This hotel is in a beautiful setting and the rooms were enormous and comfortable. However, we soon learned that the water comes from a well that is very salty, making the water undrinkable. That would be okay, if bottled water were provided in the rooms, but it was not. Further, when advised at dinner that the tap water was undrinkable, we were provided with bottled water, at an exorbitant price. For the elegance and sophistication this property exudes, you'd think they could "spring" for some drinking water. More water problems were evident when I tried to use the lovely whirlpool tub in the room. The water pressure was so bad, it took at least 20 minutes to get the tub to fill to level where it could be used. When it finally reached a usable level and I turned it on, black gunk came flying out of the jets. Ick! This is a lovely property, so don't be put off from going, but just be sure to bring your own water.
