“Om Beach for true religious weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

What a beach, to have your gods near you, perfect to have a religious experience of india, the place has got chatries or temples built by Hindu ruler. Gokarna, meaning cow's ear in Sanskrit as the ear shape. It is a conservative Hindu pilgrimage town, home to several temples and festivals. Gokarna is connected by rail from Karwar, Ankola, Hubli, Mangalore, Kumta and Margao on the Konkan Railway. There are many beaches around, only Gokarna and OM beach are approachable by road. Be religious here and for stay lot of option on the beach resort or you can stay at Gokarna in hotels, have a bycyle to enjoy the stay..very near to goa by road also

“Beautiful Place to Stay a night or two”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

There are many people visiting and staying ay Om Beach. It attracts overnight guests to the many hotels as well as day trippers having a swim and a picnic. There are a multitude of lodgings at all range of prices, but you can still get really cheap rooms here. There are many places to eat along the beach and loads of places have internet access too. The beach is well protected by the rocks and there are safe places to swim. You can also hire a kayak here or trek around the headlands to explore the other bays. I really enjoyed my 2 day stay. Very friendly local people but please take your garbage home with you, don't leave it strewn all over the beach. Let's keep this place nice.

“Sunset point!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

This beach gives the most wonderful view for a sunset..There is no point getting into the water here...It is generally dirty and the sand is also not great..On this beach, just stay on the outside and have fun..To get into the water..go to Kudle! You can go to kudle from here in a boat ride of 10 mins.

“Nice beach for the family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

The sea was calm and the water sports here were comparatively cheaper. The road side shops near the beach offer great shopping experience for trinkets and copper ware.

“A little paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013 via mobile

A must for every traveller. Don't expect luxury or modern facilities but enjoy great beaches, awesome sunsets, and cheap good food. This is laid back and ideal for chilling out.
