“Overwhelming and knowledgable experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012 via mobile

Me and my boyfriend visited the Tank museum while enjoying a short stay in Weymouth. My boyfriend is an avid tank lover and he thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience - as did i! It was so interestinf reading up on these amazing machines and learning how they changed history. Especialy surprising to see tanks that never made service.
It really hit home seeing the afghanistan area, seeing how our boys are battling it out over there. Really touching part of the museum.
Really good day out!

As an ex infantryman I never wanted to be to close to tanks (even our own worried me) But what a great museum, what a great story it tells of very brave men 'cos I wouldn't want to be caught in one...........a great story well told by a great museum

“Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2012

Good value at £19 (Iadult 1OAP 1 kid).
Toy soldier tables spread about for my 5 year oldwhen overdosed on tanks
Great Afghanistan display.
£2.50 for a ride in a tracked vehicle (ex US tracked truck thingy)
All the tanks u could ever want. Tank display could be more exciting with smoke and louder bangs.
Nice to have a tank for kids to climb in and on too.

But nontheless a great day out

“Tank in the road!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

What a great 1/2 day out. Very informative, loads to see. If you think that if you've seen one tank you've seen them all, then think again.

From Leonardo da Vinci to the present day in Helmand province.

The fact that they are machines of war is not glorified, the actual vehicles are the focus.

Definitely worth a visit.
