“Church House, Lake Tekapo”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2011

A lovely little cottage, very comfortable and well equipped. It would be a nice place to stay, regardless of the position, but with the million dollar view of Lake Tekapo, it in a class of it's own.
I have already booked to go back.

Only one night but even after 12 or so days on the road the family desperately wanted to stay longer. Wonderfully set up, great views, fantastic for a family of two adults and four kids. Highly recommended if visiting the area.

Church House at Parkbrae is an excellent spot to park up for a week's skiing. You can check Roundhill's conditions from the front window in the morning and see the groomer lights at night. Even when the biggest southerly storm in years comes through there's plenty to see and do.

Graeme, Patricia and the team are very hospitable and laid back. Great relaxing atmosphere.

Short walk to the restaurants and shops and fun scrambling around the rocks on the lake edge.

We'll definitely be back - the kids loved it. Very relaxing chilled out week.

We loved our holiday and would havue stayed longer if we could! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Our wee house was toasty warm all the time, weather by heater or the sun pouring in through windows that had an unobstructed view of the lake, church and dog. Definitely the best spot in town. An easy walk into town as well.

We stayed at Parkbrae estate to celebrate my fithiest birthday, as we have two Chihuahua's, it was for me a great comfort that we were allowed to bring our little dogs for a token fee.
This service is extended to responsable dogowners who will keep their dog under controle and do not ceate a nuissance(witch people who travel with their pets never do).
The Church house we were staying at was right on the lake front with a view out of this world.
It had everything in and on it that made our stay comfortable and easy, lovely park setting and great service in regards of things to do.
On recommodation we did the stargazing tour witch I recon to be one of the best things I've ever done , A must see!!
Overall a great place to stay, we will be back for sure!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely comment and for the wonderful photo taken at Aldourie patio. You ladies look like models and could not fault the fashion as it complimented this property so well!!!!

Delighted you enjoyed your stay and retrieved the funky French press ;-)
Make sure you do return! Dunedin is not that far away.
All the best for the new year and a happy Christmas to you all!

We felt like we were in he Swiss Alps! We sat by the warm cosy fire with a glass of wine and watched ther snow gently falling outside. The scene outside was magical with the Southern Alps coming down to meet the lake in front of us. A lovely cottage will a great view. Loved every minute of our say.
