If you are thinking Las Vegas Strip or even Atlantic City Boardwalk quality you are going to be really disappointed. The place is small and it doesn't have a lot of machines. Also the machines they have are kind of in the basic side, no big flashy Star Wars or Ghost Busters. But for what it is, the place is fun. I went there with some family and friends, we had a couple of drinks, seated together at the machines and laughed at our bad luck. People in general were really friendly, an old lady even gave me a tip on which were "the good machines". The bar area was ok, the bartender was nice. My drink was ok, nothing to rave about. A thing to take into consideration is that drinks don't necessarily have the same names than in the US, so you may get frustrated if you ask for your favorite cocktail and the bartender looks a little clueless. I went for what I call "the good tourist strategy" I asked "what's your best drink" and had that.
Calama is not really a touristic place, the attractions are all outside the city so if you are stuck there for a night waiting for a tour or something, I recommend going here, is not bad.
