“El Panorama is Just That!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

We have been staying in Rincon for a number of years. We are always looking for new and different places that serve a great meal. This is the place! Brunch on the patio is wonderful. Paul and Tom do a great job of cooking and serving. The view is spectacular, on one side of the house you see the Pacific Ocean and the other a beautiful valley. Paul and Tom serve a North American breakfast that is out of this world. The house is beautiful and they do not mind guests wandering about. Make sure you get to the roof top pool. Great place but not easy to get to. The road up is very steep and some cabs just can not make it - be prepared. Cab drivers generally take a little longer route going up which is an adventure in itself. Take the address with you to show to the cab driver. And, cash is the accepted payment.

Room Tip: I have never stayed there but all the rooms look great.

Stop looking! We have found it!!

My husband and I just spent the Semana Santa up at El Panorama. The best place to get away from all that is going on ''in town" during the festivities. I could repeat what everyone else wrote because it's all true. The spectacular view, the food, the cleanliness, the amability of our hosts.

Paul and Tom sure know how to treat people, like royalty, to fit the beautiful palace they live in.

What else is left to say? Go try it! And you don't have to be a millionaire just because the place looks like a billion bucks!!

Can't wait to go back next year. We don't want them to sell the place because nobody else will ever take care of it , and of the people, quite as well as Paul and Tom!

Love you guys! Mimi Hébert and Mario Gilbert, Montréal, Québec

My parents took me and my husband there for breakfast/brunch on February 10th. We were lucky enough to tour their place, so beautiful!! It would be amazing to stay there, everything is so beautiful and luxurious! The hosts are so welcoming and sweet. Our food was amazing, we both had Eggs Benedict, the best we have ever had. Plus toast, fruit, yogurt with granola - delish! We will definitely be back next year, the views from their place are amazing and the hosts are true gems. Definitely a "must go" place in La Penita!

My wife and I stayed at El Panorama for eight days in February. We had a wonderful stay. The home is spectacular! We were able to stay in the deluxe room for most of our time. The two balconies allowed us to enjoy the sunrise every mornig and the sunset every evening. It only go better with the 360 degree view from the upper floor where the roof top pool and kitchen like facility are located. Tom makes amazing breakfasts every morning while Paul does a great job making sure eveything is super clean and fresh throuhout the home. The walk to town was very doable down "the hill". We walked up the hill a few times, but appreciated the local cab ride for a mere 30 Pesos. Both hosts are very knowledgable about the entire area and provided helpful tips and solid recommendations.
We stayed in the area twice before, and this experience added to our belief that we have found a bit of paradise with a perfect new choice for a very home-like stay.

Room Tip: We recommend the deluxe room for the east and west views, but the standard room was also very comfor...

We arrived at El Panorama on February 8th, not knowing quite what to expect as we had never stayed at a b & b before. This experience has now spoiled us for all others! Tom and Paul were amazing hosts, who were more than willing to share their experience and knowledge of the area with us. Tom provided a different 5 star breakfast for us each of the eight mornings we were there. We stayed in the Deluxe Room and were amazed by the incredible views from each terrace. The roof top pool area did not disappoint! What a relaxing place to begin our vacation. We left La Penita with wonderful memories and some new friends! We can't wait to go back.

My husband and I just returned from a fabulous 10-day stay at the El Panorama. The villa is simply beautiful and Tom and Paul were wonderful hosts. As we were the only guests we had the whole 3rd floor and rooftop deck completely to ourselves. We'd go out exploring the area in the morning and return in the early afternoon to hang out around the pool until dinnertime. The views of the bay, town, mountains were spectacular. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Recommend a high-clearance vehicle to get up the hill. Not necessary, but our sedan scraped bottom a...

We stayed for 10 days in their amazing deluxe room. The large private balcony on the front gave us a stunning ocean and town view while the rear balcony offered us a wonderful mountain and valley view. Our king size bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very clean. Tom and Paul were great hosts and the breakfasts Tom made us each morning were unbelievable. The roof top pool was very refreshing after a day out exploring the area. It was relaxing and peaceful to sit on the roof top terrace with a gentle breeze keeping us cool from the heat of the day. We walked to the beach and downtown La Penita many times to explore the area and either walked or took a taxi back. Be sure to take in the Thursday outdoor market as it is a lot of fun. It was just a short taxi ride (about 40 pesos) to go to Rincon de Guayabitos for more shopping, restaurants and the Guayabitos beach.
We look forward to going back again to El Panorama de la Penita.
