“Incredible Flavor ... Our 1st Pick of Restaurants We Visited”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

We had risotto at Piccola Fontana and risotto at the top-rated Marmalade. Piccola Fontana was the winner. The sausage and saffron gave the risotto a rich and wonderful flavor. The Osso Buco was classic and perfect ... my daughters and I were almost fighting over it. The only thing that did not seem on par with the rest was the side of pasta that came with the Osso Buco; it gave the impression of being out-of-the-box penne that I could make at home. Didn't matter, though; we were in heaven.
The decor was chic overall but the murals of tigers, etc in the corner alcoves seemed odd. The service seemed a bit formal for me at first, but turned out to be perfect and not stuffy. Very expensive but still our first pick.

“World Class Italian Fine Dining!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

From the A+ service, to the 'made from scratch' pasta dishes, the rissotto (mama mía), and ending with 'out of this world' desserts, everything is perfect! If you want to impress a date with a romantic place that also tantalizes your senses with glorious food, this is the place to go.

“Expensive But Worth It”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

If you go here and complain about the prices, well, then head across the road to Chilis. Yes, it is expensive. Yes, it is very tough to make a meal that you will say is worth $47, but once you get past the cost, this is a great restaurant. Great food, great service and great atmosphere.

“A Culinary Delight...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

We eat at Piccola Fontana every time we visit San Juan. I always order the Eggplant Parm which is totally different and more delicious than any eggplant I've ever had (and it is no way $39 as someone prev mentioned...as a matter of fact my husband and I get out for about $100 total).
The sommelier recommended an appetizer that we've never had (not even in Italy) called Burrata Cheese...it literally made our taste buds dance. We went back 2 nights later bc we couldn't stop thinking of the burrata. Wish we could take it home. Will be back for sure!!! If he owner is reading this...you would do very well in NYC!!! ;-)
