“Wonderful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

A very good experience at this place. I had my birthday party and it was the best. The team was above expectations especially Irene and Rachel. A good customer service, super good music, delicious food, relaxing, the beach spectacular. Good atmosphere, the chairs in the sand with beds, make your mind relax. I recommend to all people who want to visit Puerto Rico to come and visit this place as spectacular. If you want to party ask for Miguel recommended 100%. Cafe La Plage is certainly the best address of Puerto Rico

“Perfect setting, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

We mostly stopped here for the experience- you can't beat a romantic table right in the sand with the stars and ocean as your backdrop. But we were pleasantly surprised with the service and the food- both very good.
We had the steak mofongo and the shrimp with curry coconut sauce plus mojitos. I would not say the drinks were the best we have had but both dishes were very good and we left satisfied.
Honestly, service tends to be slow in PR anyway and ours was pretty fast considering.

“WORST SERVICE EVER ruined our last night in PR”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

On March 26th 2013 my family and I (6 Adults) went to Cafe La Plage for our last night in PR. We wanted a rather expensive unforgettable meal with a beautiful scenery for out last night, we are the least pickiest people and are extremely understanding. When we first arrived we asked for a table on the beach the manager told us to wait 10 minutes and he could have one ready, so we sat at the bar and spent about $60 after a half hour we asked when our table would be ready 10 minutes later they sat us in the area next to the bar (not on the beach) not a big deal because it is still beautiful. We proceeded to order more drinks each an appetizer and each a meal. after 45 minutes our appetizers still hadn't come out and our waitress was no where to be found, and HOUR later i asked someone to find our waitress 10 minutes later she brought out our appetizers, they weren't bad but not worth an hour wait, half hour later our dinner still was not out. I asked for a manager and someone told me that they left and they didn't know what to do. Finally find our waitress and some other guy that told me he wasn't a manager but could help, our waitress argued with me that she had been at the table numerous times and our food was on our way....20 minutes later our food was not out. We decided we were not going to pay most likely $300 for this so we told the "manager" to cancel our order and with no hesitation or apologies he said fine. gave us our bill for appetizers and it was $78 we were baffled that no one was the least bit considerate completely ruined our last night in Puerto Rico. As we left completely disappointing we were most amazed by our waitress, she was NO WHERE to be found and was rude and horrible especially after seeing a family of 6 drinking and ordering appetizers and dinners you would think she would have wanted that tip. Only think i will say about this place it has a beautiful scenery. Our first night we went to La Playita in Hotel La Playa and we LOVED it we should have just went back there....even better scenery with amazing service, food and reasonably priced. Like i said we are the most outgoing people and are very understanding and this place ruined our last night, STAY AWAY.

“Awful!!! Worst experience ever! poisoning food..”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

Food was horrible, music too loud, drunk customers, we waited 1 hour to be served and then more than 30 min between each course...the waiters seemed completely off...don't know if they were wasted or exhausted....they gave us the bill of another table. The food was old and taste awful! Hamburgers was disgusting. Fries was anything but home made... In addition to the bad taste, we really realized that the food was old and bad when we went for a walk and my daughter puked all the.nuggets and french fries she had in the kid menu!!!!!! Worst experience ever!!!!
