Cute décor but that's all. Not just bad service, but the woman serving us (we had the impression that it was her restaurant) didn't hesitate to insult us throughout the meal. When I asked what a court bouillon was she said very condascendingly "you don't know what that is? It's one of the most famous local dishes!"...ok, we are here to learn new things right?, after, when we asked for a caraf of water she said "I don't drink tap water here" (having drunk the water for the previous 2 weeks with locals and with no problem), I asked why and she snottily responed "WE live here and WE are careful". Ok. She finallly brought the water 45 min later and after the main dish, after we asked her again. As it was a typical hot Guadeloupe night, we started to be super hot and asked nicely if we could move to the empty table near the fan. She muttered "it IS the west indies, it is HOT". True, but who doesn't like a little breeze when it's hot?! After we moved our own plates and glasses etc to the new table she freaked out saying that anything we had moved on the new table would have to be washed (I don't appear dirty and only moved the dishes because she hadn't!). Very very average food for such an expensive bill. Ruined our night out...should have tried the shack across the street.
