Used this hotel for some late spring ski-ing at Aviemore. It was one of those cheap deals with a table d'hote menu but it really was an excellent deal. The service was very good although perhaps a little too quick between courses- I'd barely devoured my spaghetti hoops when dessert appeared. The choice on the menu was excellent and the food very palatable. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The lounge bar was a wee bit gloomy but comfortable enough. The public bar was fine but ladies shouldn't wear their best frock in it. Nethybridge itself is tranquil. It has a first rate Spar and a walk around the lanes in the village reveal an interesting variety of houses. You will have no trouble enjoying your stay in this hotel.

A very pleasent hotel that still retains features of its late victorian heritage. As a 30 something single traveller looking for a retreat for a few days I found the staff and service welcoming but not overbearing. The room was clean and comfortable and the public areas equally so. Bar menu very good value. All in all a pleasent stay in a peaceful location.

“Lovely Hotel...Shame about the Noise!”

The Nethybridge was the second strathmore hotel we stayed in during our 3 day trip to the highlands. The hotel is very nice and the staff are really friendly...HOWEVER, i probably had a total of 1 hours sleep the entire night what with the creaky bed, creaky floorboards, creaky doors and barking dogs...also the admittedly authentic sash windows didnt close properly, which mean i was both awake AND cold all night! But serously...the bed was the worst id ever slept in for the sheer amount of noise it made, even just lying on it...perhaps a cunning way to preventing guests overindulging in too much over-active hanky panky - im really not sure...The actual hotel very nice though and set in the most beautiful countryside...not all bad and worth a sleepless night...maybe

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at Nethybridge. The hotel is very imposing in a wonderful little walking village close to Aviemore and the Cairngorms. Very friendly staff and good food made this a very good value for money break.
