“Fine for a weekend stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

My wife and I have a large bed at home, so it was a bit of a squash in the standard double, but you can't blame the establishment for that. Everything was comfortable, clean and very nicely presented, the breakfast was very good and the welcome friendly and flexible.

The sash window in our room (5) had an irritating habit of shutting itself when you looked the other way. I was thinking about wedging a shoe in it. But this is a minor niggle and wouldn't stop me using this well-run inn again.

The rooms look out onto a road, but it's not a particularly busy one.

we had a two day stay at the coach house in Bridgnorth, lovely welcoming place, nice staff with just the right amount of 'looking after', lovely food, very comfy beds, and what a lovely place Bridgnorth is too, exlored all around, Ironbridge and the severn valley railway, really lovely break.

My husband arranged for us to go to The Coach House as part of my birthday stay in Bridgnorth. The restaurant had been highly recommended to my husband and quite rightly so.
On arrival we were greeted by a friendly lady who showed us to our table.
We both had the duck and port pâté for starters which was delicious. I had the home made steak and ale pie, which was home made but unfortunately the mash was not!! My husband had the mixed grill which he had no complaints about.
Overall a wonderful meal in a lovely environment. I would definitely recommend it

Lovely welcome, brilliant location and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and the food was first class, as was the service.
Excellent breakfast and wished we could have stayed more than 1 night.

Just back from staying at this excellent establishment. The room was very clean, plenty of storage and the bed very very comfortable. We ate in the resturant and the food was first class as was the breakfast. My daughter and I felt as if we were staying in a friends house it was so so comfortable and friendly.

Thanks to the owners for all their help .

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back if you are a light sleeper

During a recent trip back to the UK for family reasons we stayed at the Coach House.....having done research it was clear from other reviews this was the place to stay during our short trip.

What a perfect homely feel you get as soon as you walk through the door. You are made to feel very welcome and introduced to Jane and Nigel....superb hosts....we did know prior to arrival that they were previous owners of the Greyhound Pub in Lower Penn and prior to that the Crown Inn in Codsall....both of which we frequented when we lived in the UK....having experienced those two places we knew this would be excellent too.....

I totally agree about previous reviews of the beds...wow and the fresh white crisp linen is just perfect.....very clean and well stocked with branded toiletries and drink making facilities...

The decor is simply divine...and you get a good feeling of an old English village with all the modern aspects as well.

Food.....well ...this has always been Jane and Nigel's forte ....superb breakfast and fantastic choices for dinner.....their rosé wine is simply to good to not enjoy too many glasses.....hiccup!

The whole stay made what was a very sad trip very enjoyable and just what we needed to relax and enjoy the beautiful town of Bridgnorth....

I can guarantee that whenever we travel back to the UK this is where we will stay......

JUST PERFECT.....well done Jane and Nigel.....all your hard word has clearly paid off.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 3........very comfortable.

i stayed at the coach house due to a mix up at another hotel and what a wonderful surprise. The owners were so friendly and the breakfast was excellent but the jewel in the crown is the fact that the beds were the most comfortable ever with a big snuggly duvet which was very welcome on one of the coldest days of the year. Thank you so much
