Visited a couple of weeks ago with my two grandsons aged 2 and nearly 7. We had a brilliant day!We took a picnic so the day cost us £15 plus ice creams, and we were there all day, the last to leave in fact! We managed to see everything except the indoor play barn and the tea rooms (as we had our food with us).
This was a last day before back to school and we really enjoyed it. We chose a beautiful day to come which helped, not sure that the woodland walks would have been enjoyable in the rain! The owner was taking the entrance money and was very friendly - we were provided with a free leaflet including a map (Cotswold Wildlife Park please take note!) and he was very friendly and welcoming. The only other member of staff we spoke to was the lady selling the ice creams and she was lovely too. We sat in the courtyard for our picnic, and everything was immaculately clean and tidy, it was fun as the hens were wandering round hoping for scraps too!
The animals all seemed perfectly happy to me, yes there were a lot of owls buy my 2 year old is very fond of owls as one lives in the Gruffalo wood so that was not a problem. Being able to go in the field with the goats appealed to the seven year old.
The woodland walk was brilliant, we took our time as the little one still only has short legs, but spent at least half an hour at the witch's story telling chair (next time I'll think of a story before we go!) and a further half hour in the bird hide which kept both boys entranced!
The admission price included a free return voucher - we will be going back at half term without a shadow of a doubt. Can't wait! Thanks Rays Farm, can't understand how I've not found you before now, but I'm so glad I have now. Oh - and the toilet facilities were spotless!
