“Great Indian Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

This place was cute and very welcoming. We were greeted by the owner and he was so happy to know how we found his place. We used Trip Advisor! He suggested a great appetizer for us to try. Delicious! The food is prepared fresh and tastes very authentic. The price was great for dinner and wine. Service was excellent!

“Number 1 in Tameside?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

After a fantastic refurbishment and extension the Plaza has to be the number 1 Indian restaurant in Tameside? Competitors include 'The Pearl' and 'Lal Quilla', although the latter may be classed as Saddleworth. The guys are really genuine and friendly - especially the boss! Food and Cobra are great. Service superb. We normally opt for the milder dishes but friends who are more adventurous agree that all the dishes are superb. We visit at least a couple of times a month. Enjoy!

“Excellent curries and good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

We used to come to The Indian Plaza on Christmas Eve, but when the menu became fixed we stopped coming and went elsewhere. On Easter Sunday we booked for 7.30 and, although it was very busy, we only had to wait a short time for a table (whiling away the time with a Cobra in the bar area!) The food was a delight and the wait between courses was just right. It had been a while since we visited the IP, and there have been some changes. The extension is good and the lighting improved. Even the dreaded table in front of the door seemed to have been moved back a little - but don't try it! It's not good especially if the weather is cold and disruptive at any time. (Why do people stand talking with the door open?) The toilet was clean, but only one cubicle available for ladies; I can't say about the men's but I beleive tey are upstairs. There are more tables upstairs. And re my pet hate, the lemony hot towels. We weren't offered any after the meal, which made my evening. When I'm next in the area, I expect to go again.

“Must try,pleasant,polite,clean and reasonable.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013 via mobile

Since the Plaza opened I have been on numerous occasions with a mixture of friends, family, kids and girlfriend and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal or complaint. The staff are polite and more than helpful, the food is exceptional and good value. Just a shame the bar area is a bit small if you do have to wait and it's busy...but hey it is a restaurant!! Worth a visit if you like your curries.

“fab curry”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Turned up on a busy Saturday night with no reservation and was given a friendly greeting and seated within 10 minutes. Food ordered quick turn around and it was simply delicious by far one of the best curries we have had in a while. My only grip is we ordered drinks with 3 different waiters and never got them which was really dissapointing as asking 3 different people would at least give us a chance. I know it was very busy though.
