Visited Cawsand beach and was pleasantly surprised. The beach is of a mild shingle with a touch of finer sand near the slipway. It is a gently sloping beach which is ideal for paddling children. The beach itself is in a small cove that has a view out into the mouth of the Tamar Estuary. There are rocks that are great for rock-pooling also. The beach has a hotel and bar that overlook the beach directly and there is also a shop in the village square that sells ice creams, food and drinks etc. this is an excellent beach if you want to get away from all the hustle and bustle.
