“Typical Local Spanish Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

We hade Menu Del Dia.. Very helpful/ friendly waitress, communicated with our very limited Spanish and her limited English. Great advice on what to chose. Very hearty portions. Soup was a meal in itself, salad was a meal in itself, main course (pork stew) was 1.5 meals in itself, postre was - don't know because we could only manage coffee. Great value at 10 euros.
Located close to the beach but this was irrelevant on a wet November day. We will definitely go again.

“AWelcome Port on a stormy November Day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012

We took a trip to San Pedro attracted by the many reviewed restaurants in this little epicurean capital of coastal Murcia and we were delighted to find such "A Welcome Port "on a stormy November Day.The setting in a side street 50M from the sea was as we anticipated from the reviews-but the 'Menu del Dia' was a delightful relief from anglicised menus elsewhere on the Costa Blanca .Starting with the full blooded Tinto we tucked into a delicious fresh salad followed by hearty soups and full flavoured main courses.Although not 'pudding fans' we lapped up the home made Apple Tart and Chocolate & Brazil Nut Tart -one each but nice to enjoy sharing .The coffees together with a chat with the neighbouring couple at the next table rounded it off -all for a miniscule 10Euros each. What super value!

“Everything you wanted..and more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

We are a large family with a property, lterally a doorstep away from this excellent restaraunt.
The menu is large and varied, but not complicated, with the food being excellent, Go for the Octopus served on a wooden platter, mouthwateringly succulent! being so close to the sea, the fish is so fresh, it tastes marvellous. All spects of the food are again excellent and well prepared.
the service is outstanding with waiters fully conversant with the products they serve.
The prices are really good, and they will set up a family table for you with no trouble.
Nothing but praise for this place.
