“Can't fault the Parc Hotel Paradiso”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2011

Just returned from 2 weeks stay at the Parc Hotel. This is a very good hotel and the food is very good. Great choice at all meals, great salad bar, and the desserts are delicious. Red wine was on the table along with water - you have to ask for white wine which comes well chilled. This is a conference hotel so the dining room (seats 350) was on occasions very busy.
The bedroom was large and the linen and towels were changed daily. The courtesy bus was there for the short trip into Perchiera. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed from the 13th-27th Aug as a family and were pleasantly surprised.
Yes the all inclusive isn't the best we've had but was quite adequate. The wine and beer were fine, soft drinks were disappointing and it was a shame that it finished at 11pm just before the entertainment finished which meant you couldn't get a drink of water or hot chocolate to take to your room. The all inclusive should have been at the Luna bar and amphi theatre as this was where all the entertainment took place.
However the hotel is very clean.
The rooms are very comfortable and quiet.
The food choice was very good always plenty and always hot.
The reception staff were very helpful.
The entertainment team were good and worked very hard and long hours.
The coach drivers were pleasant.
It is a very good base for exploring the area but is also a situated in a lovely area by a golf course making it an ideal place to relax.
We had a very enjoyable stay and would return.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2011

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Parc Hotel , family of five which we booked on an all inclusive basis.

The hotel itself is well maintained, there are three good sized pools. There are plenty of beds but there is a good deal of bed blocking,so if you have a lie in you have no chance. Some of the beds were a little bit worn , and a pool attandent if one had been available would have perhaps helped.

The rooms are a good size complete with a safe ,fridge and a kettle. They are modern and well serviced every day. The shower in the bathroom was no more than adequate. Free dressing gown and slippers where offered. On checking in we where only given one card per room and had to ask for another one.

The dining room! The main problem is that it has all the charm of a motorway serice station on a rainy day in March. It is completely self service so you find that people are always on the go getting up to refill glasses or get cutlery etc. It is a 4 star hotel so some element of service should be expected. The dining room is subterrainian and it would have been nice to have been able to eat outside.

The food. Well breakfasts are okay. With a fair selection , though it would have been nice to get a omlette and the scrambled eggs where a bit runny. The fruit juice was dilute and concentrated. Lunches where pretty grim with limited and uninspired choice. Pasta or chicken nuggets!

Dinner. They where on the whole very good and this seems to be where all the effort was made. There was usually plenty of choice and good quantities. Unfortunatley the grim nature of the ding room detracted from the otherwise good meal.

All inclusive. We did go all inclusive and because of the location of the hotel we felt this was the better option as there is nowhere else walkable to go. The all inclusive option is not strictly all inclusive. Drinks come from dispensers, which you are given a key to , so it was either soda stream coke or fanta ,or water. The wine came from the same machine either red or white. The white was like vinegar and completely unpalatable and the red was worse! This was a shame as there are so many nice local wines available. Local spirits where free but if you wanted to put a mixer in other than soda steam you had to pay! By the pool the machine was a distance from the child friendly pool which was a minor inconvenience. The ice cream was also not included in the all inclusive only ice lollies. Though the hot chocolate that came from the coffee machine was quite tasty. No all inclusive fair was available after 11.00pm , which was mean as all they did was switch the machines off! In the evening the all inclusive was only available at the pizzera by the pool or the soulless piano bar. If you were anywhere else in the complex then you had to pay for your drinks or fetch and carry them from the dispensers. All in all this was probably one of the poorest all inclusive deals we have ever encountered.

The hotel ran a free bus service into Peshceria which was very handy and the driver would also drop you if you required at the local train station. If you phoned the hotel they would also arrange for him to uplift you from there also. The reception staff where always friendly and very helpful when it came to planning trips and understanding timetables etc.

The hotel did run entertainment by the Tuka Tuka Team. It was not obtrusive in anyway whatsoever and you could take it or leave it. They where however the most commited and proffessional team we have ever experienced! The musicals they put on where of a very high standard and very enjoyable. They where staged in an outdoor theatre. They also kept those that wanted activities during the day well entartained. Altogether full marks to them! The hotel is attached to the Golf Course, which does have a driving range and should you need clubs for the driving range they will lend you them.

The hotel is in a good location only 20mins from Verona airport and is ideal for exploring Lake Garda and Verona and only 2hours from Venice. Getting around is easy enough. This hotel is good for families as there is lots to do and it is safe. The bedrooms and facilities are upto that of a four star hotel unfortunatley the food and food service drag it down to that more akin to three star hotel.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2011

I stayed at Parc Hotel for a week with 2 friends in July 2011. The room we had was very nice & clean & big enough for the 3 of us. Free robes & slippers were provided aswell as a towel each for around the pool.
We were all inclusive - there was a huge choice for food for breakfast, lunch & dinner.
The drinks selection for the all inclusive was a little disappointing as the wine & soft drinks came out of a machine & there was only a choice of coke or orangeade for soft drinks & they didn't always taste very nice. And only one choice of red & white wine.
Also the all inclusive didn't include the laguna bar on the complex where some of the entertainment takes place.
There was a lots of entertainment to suit everyone.
There was a great bus service to the local town & will also take you to the station if you ask. The only problem as others have stated is the timings of the departures from the hotel.
There are 2 main swimming pools near the hotel & unfortunately the one meant for adults was full children - something the hotel should address as there is a large childrens pool there.
The hotel is also only 20 minutes by train away from Verona.

Stayed for one week in late June/July 2011. Arrived at 11pm with tired children and were delighted to find salad plates, crusty rolls and chocolates in our room. Room was spacious, with balcony overlooking the grounds and outdoor theatre. Had a great nights sleep everynight, vey comfy bed, only noise we heard was a thunder storm one night.
We found the hotel spacious and airy and despite the high number of occupants it never felt crowded.
Food was good, plenty of variety, great desserts & cheese board,it's all self-service buffet style so will never be the same as dining in a high class restaurant! Yes the all inclusive icecreams and drinks were not top of the range but were fine for children. The hotel is very large and also caters for conferences and summer camps for Italian children, I'm not sure why some posters on this site had a problem with that as it certainly didn't interfere with us.
The entertainment team were very friendly and enthusiastic about their work, shows every evening which were family friendly.
The location is just outside Peschiera del Garda, so it feels rural. We had a car so found the location excellent for touring Lake Garda and Gardaland is very near. The pools were great with lots of sunloungers. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and had a very relaxing holiday. The hotel is best suited to families or as a base for touring the area.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2011

Just returned from 14 nights at the Parc Hotel Paradiso Lake Garda all inclusive booked via Thomas Cook.

We refused the first room offered as it was in an annex block and it was very dark, plus three steps up into the room, the next room offered was in the main hotel, which was clean and with a balcony, great we thought! BUT five dogs in rooms below who barked in competition, plus children running up and down the corridors knocking on doors, bingo at full volume.

The subterranean restaurant is more of a school dinning hall with bland semi cold food. Which provides a service to the conference delegates, plus the 8 to 13 years Italian football league who have a summer camp there. It is very noisy and hot also beware it is not all inclusive and you are treated as second class.

There are very limited lounge areas and you have lots families with very young children.

All in all not a good experience!

We changed after one week and went to the Parc Hotel Gritti at Bardolino on a B&B basis which cost us a lot more, but was stress free and much more like a holiday hotel than a conference hotel. The local Thomas Cook Rep, Gill was very helpful.

In conclusion we wish we had known about the this site before booking. As a lot of the comments relate to our experience at this hotel.
