“Not a place to visit during August holiday times”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2014

Gardaland is big amusment park for young and adult with many attractions for full day visit.
The problem is the long lines for each attraction. Avarage waiting time is 60 minutes for each attraction. This is too long and we had to buy the express tickets for each attraction.
The value for money is poor. It is very expensive and even the express lines are a bit long during August.
I advice to skip this park or go in low season times only.
There are other nice amusement parks for family with young children that are not that busy in August.

“Got lucky, but great park”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2014 via mobile

I went in the height of summer and was worried after reading some reports of how busy it would be. I was very pleasantly surprised by a few things. 1) the lines weren't that bad, worse case 30 minutes and that was generally the smaller kid rides. If you want to ride the big kid rides it was like 5 minutes! That would not happen at Orlando or Alton Towers. 2) The park was pretty clean and nicely laid out. 3) Cost wasn't a killer. I paid $100 for two adults and two kids. With some deal. I notice most local gas stations would sell tickets similar price. 4). Live shows were reasonable (in Italian. As you would expect). 5). The kids loved every minute of it. Hard to put a price on that. 6). Staff were nice and polite.

If I was picky I would say 1) my daughter is 4 and 105cm. This is worse case scenario. She has to pay big kid prices, but can't get on most of the rides. 2). There are no characters or anything anywhere. Lacks a little character. 3). Based on the fact the lines are bigger for kids rides than the thrill rides, perhaps they need to focus on building some new cool kid rides.. I am being picky though. Considering it is peak season, it exceed my expectations. It was a little rainy in the morning so perhaps people stayed away but was clear blue skies in the afternoon and was still very manageable.

“Great day out, also in the rain. ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014

We spent the day in Gardaland with three kids aged 5, 7 & 9. We were only left with a very rainy day to go on at the end of the holiday, we decided to risk it and it was great. Because of the weather there were hardly any queues (longest wait time for even the most popular big rides was 20 minutes) and we managed to race round doing lots. The rain didn't really matter - we bought waterproof ponchos at the shop on the way in (6 euros each, made all the difference). There was a good range of rides for all ages and they seemed longer and better value than equivalents, e.g. Legoland. My only complaint was that they could invest in some more signposts to rides and more map displays. Finding your way around is quite confusing. Overall obviously an expensive day (150 euro for a family ticket) but good value and fun for all.

“Great for all the family”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2014

The park is perfect for all ages, you could spend 2-3 days here. Good value for money. Worth buying the season pass with fast pass tickets, although you have to remeber and take photo id (photocopy ok) on your first visit. Great rollercoasters.
