We would give them 5 dots for the food but the (non biting) Lake Flies, that arrived after dark were an annoyance. This is a restaurant to book for Sunday lunch any time of the year or eat early if dining outside in summer to avoid the lake flies.(They're rather like lace wings). The owners switched off the lamps and brought candles to our corner table nestled between the walls of the restaurant and we dinned magnificently at around 8.30 pm.
There's no menu, the menu is recited (can be done in English) and consisted of a pasta course, various choices. Home made pasta to die for, especially the one with lake fish! Meat course, wild boar stew, rabbit, chicken etc. and dessert. A bottle of prosecco to start things off and a very good bottle of their house red. Bill was €27 a head. Compliments to the hard working lady who cooked it all!
