“la Tinaia - under the Tuscan sun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

An absolute gem tucked away in Tuscany. First and foremost our hosts, Franco and Tina made sure our stay would be memorable by all the little attention, and then there's location, it is just perfectly located just outside of Florence. The apartments are immaculate. I would definately highly recommend this oasis of peace. thumbs up Tina e Franco you get a 10/10.

Spent a week here this August. The location is idyllic and the apartment spotless. The owners, Franco and Tina, are very friendly and welcoming. It's the perfect place from which to explore Tuscany. Florence is within easy reach by tram from Scandicci, although you need a car to get to Scandicci and other places in the region. However, the roads were relatively quiet outside the cities. We'd never been to Tuscany before but we're very keen to come back especially to this lovely place. Highly recommended!

We stayed with Tina and Franco during the May 11-21, 2012 period. Our apartment was Erica and was beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable, The estate is awesome and gave us the ability to drive a different direction to sightsee each day. It was only a 10 minute ride to the tram to Florence but it was completely out in the country on a hillside where quiet and peace ruled the day. Tina and Franco are excellent hosts and strive to help you in any way possible. We will return here for our next Italian vacation!!

Stayed a few weeks ago for 3 nights. La Tinaia turned out to be even better than we expected, as in above review - absolutely immaculate. Apartment is spacious and clean, has everything you need for a stay, even more than that. The garden and the pool are lovely, very clean with great views. The owners made this place to their taste and every detail is a real Tuscany. I cant even find anything negative about this agriturismo. Good location, close to Florence, at the same time on top of the hills and the views are stunning. Their wine was excellent too. We stayed with the kids and would definitely go back again and recommend to everyone.

Spent a week last August in this agricoturismo located only 10 km away from Firenze. It is conveniently located above Scandicci and it is a good base to visit all the Tuscany surroundings.

The place is immaculate and ver well kept by the aborable Franco & Tina. The apartments are well furnished and are comfortable. The pool is beautiful and surrounded by the vineyard and olive trees. We were with our kids that really enjoyed this place

I strongly recommend this rental and will definitely go back one of these days.

Tina and Franco were extremely helpful even though Franco only spoke Italian! They helped us pay our fine we received in Scandicci and made reservations for us at the local restaurant Fiore (where you should go if you want to try the bistecca alla fioretina, where all the local italians also go there to eat it).

We stayed in La Vigna which had a lovely view of their property. The accommodation was simple but comfortable and very very clean. Their wine is also of DOCG standard and really good.

The location was also very good to get to everywhere in Tuscany!

We stayed at La Tinaia in the first week of September 2011 and had a fantastic time. The apartments are lovely - clean and spacious and the setting is beautiful. The farmhouse is lovingly looked after with beautiful gardens and pool (from which there are wonderful views of the vineyards and chianti hills), all within an easy drive/tram ride from Florence. We also visited Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Certaldo and San Gimigiano in easy day trips from here. Tina and Franco were very welcoming and helpful - recommending places to go, the best ways to get there and arranging tickets for us. My sister has coeliac disease and Tina even rang the local restaurant for us to let them know we were coming, they had a basket of gluten free bread waiting for her when we arrived! I can't recommend La Tinaia enough - it is one of the nicest villa's we've stayed in and we'll definitely be going back at some point in the future!
