My wife and I shared a wonderful villa at Casale di Villore with four of our friends. Villore is beautifully situated atop a hillside looking west towards San Gimignano, which can be seen off in the distance. You can see beautiful sunsets looking out over olive groves and the Tuscan valley. While Villore is out in the quiet countryside, it's still a reasonable car ride to many great places - Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, wineries on the Chianti trail and many other places. Antonio is very friendly and helpful and has many recommendations for memorable things to do. He'll make arrangements for you, if you'd like. The villas are incredible. Old world charm outside and very nicely appointed inside. Internet access is hit or miss; but otherwise everything thing is great. We highly recommend it.

- Casale Di Villore Poggibonsi, Italy - Tuscany
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
-
Once an imposing guard tower, its image drawn on antique maps of the region, Il Casale di Villore’s main structure dates back to 1200. Over the course of the centuries, a series of annexes were built to house the families that worked the land. An olive press, granary and a wood -burning oven, still fully functional, were also added to bake the bread and store the grain of those residents of centuries ago. Recently restored, Il Casale di Villore invites you to live the Tuscan dream in this genteel country residence.Designed to embody both refinement and simplicity, the residence, in both its interior design and the rustic beauty of the exteriors, exists in perfect harmony with the surrounding countryside. The vast garden encircling the property leads to a large swimming pool, nearly hidden amongst the olive trees. From poolside, guests have a breathtaking view of the towers of San Gimignano and the Castle of Strozzavolpe. Cypress trees, vineyards and oak forests extend as far as the eye can see - criss -crossed here and there by a shady country lane or a gravel path leading to an old stone farmhouse.
