I took my four boys and my wife to this beautiful place in Tuscany and it was the highlet of my Summer trip to Europe. What a great quite place for the family! It is beautiful, clean and worth every penny. The view is gorgeous! The chef was magnificent.

My Family and I spent a wonderful week in a dream place.
The Location is close to many important turistic cities and at the same time in the middle of green country side.
Lovely staff and authentic italian food served in the little restaurant of the property.
I advice it to everyone that is looking for the true Tuscany.

Beautiful location with great view over San Gimigagno!
We stayed here for a week begin September 2014 with another couple.
The appartments are nice and big with simple interior. All basic equipment is there.
Only drawback (at least for us) there is no dishwasher in the apartments.
Also the restaurant is not always available and no wine/olive-oil tasting tour. Of course there are plenty other places in the surrounding area available to do this and Francesco is always helpful to point you in the right directions.
But when the restaurant is open, chef Francesco serves very nice traditional Tuscan food with very nice local wines.
All-in-all we had a wonderful week here and definitely a place to visit again in the future!
And when you are here a visit to San Gimigagno and Siena is a must!

My mom and I came to this agritourismo after a series of unfortunate events in Florence. Francesco greeted us, showed us to our room, and immediately my mom and I felt rejuvenated and our spirits lifted from the beauty of the Tuscany country side. Croce di Bibbiano is a wonderful place to relax, and San Gimignano is only 6km away. Breakfast was always spectacular and Francesco was right there to ask about day plans and offer suggestions on things to do around the area. It was difficult to leave Croce di Bibbiano and continue on through Tuscany. For my mom and I, it was the highlight of our trip.

We choose Croce di Bibbiano when they had their old homepage (without the beautiful fotos) and so we did not expect a lot. When we arrived we entered paradise. We had a wonderful week at the house in the middle of August 2014. Relaxing at the pool with a great view of San Gimignano, hiking, wine tasting and beautiful trips to different towns - we enjoyed evey minute. When we came home from our day trips, Francesco prepared a wonderful dinner. Some evenings we cooked and had our dinner in the beautiful garden.

Rooms are simple, but very authentic and clean.

We really recommend the place for couples who want to relax and enjoy food, wine and the "flair" of the Italien countryside.

We will definitively come again!
Greetings to Francesco

My husband and I took this trip to Italy together to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We went to Venice, Florence, Rome and spent a week here at Croce di Bibbiano in Tuscany. We have been to Italy twice before, and we do enjoy the other places we've visited here. But this stay is far and away the highlight of every trip to Italy so far.
Location - ideal. It's only an hour's drive from Florence, and from it you can visit many beautifful places in Tuscany: San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra, Montapulciano, Monalcino...to name a few of the popular ones. Thanks to staff members Francesco and Silvie, we also visited some lovely places we hadn't thought of: Certaldo, Bogheri (beautiful!), and we even fit in a sunset walk on the beach in Vada, where we dipped our toes in the Mediterranean Sea.
Every day of our exploring we were thankful to return to our little piece of heaven at Croce di Bibbiano.
Accomodation: I'm not sure what we were expecting, because we've stayed at an agriturismo. But this place is incredible. We stayed in a flat with high ceilings, a large bedroom with a big bed and a daybed, a full kitchen with a table big enough to entertain with if we wished, and a full sized livi g room with a tv (that we never turned on). The bathroom was modern, large, and had a showe big enough for two. The bed was comfortable, and the linens perfect. Everything was immaculately clean.
The flat is of course part of the larger establishment. Everything was connected with stone pathways, and there was a large and lively cobblestone courtyard with various seating arrangments for people to use: bistro tables, cushioned seating areas with coff tables, and benches. In some of the beautiful gardens there were also tables to sit at and dine. The gardens themselves were lovely - several levels with many trees, shrubs, and flowers. I'm not an expert in this, but there were olive trees, cypress trees, persimmon trees, and a long beautiful swath of a red flowering plant. There is also a full size swimming pool surrounded bl lounge chairs - next time Ai hope we make time to use it!
When we booked, we took advantage of the plan that included breakfast. This was held every moring in a clean bright room, and throughout the week we enjoyed several delicious home made cakes and cookies, various breads with spreads, sliced meats, hard boiled eggs, several types of cereal, anf of course each day we were greeted with the question: "Capuccino or espresso or hot chocolate?" There were also juices and milk on the table. Great service!
In addition, we had access to laundry which we used enthusiastically after being on the road awhile.
A real pleasure for us was when hosts Silvie and Mittia took the time to show us some of the animals: a young litter of puppies, rabbits, chickens, and a few white birds that we think are lapwings or plovers in English. All three staff members we met: Francesco, Silvie and Mittia are always working hard on something, so we really appreciated that they all took time to spend with us - it really added to the visit!
It would be remiss if I didn't mention the wine tasting session with Francesco. We asked for this on pur last day - my husband doesn't drink, but he enjoyed the event as much as I did, listening to all the information and enjoying the various meats, cheese, and bread that were part of the experience. i am often shy with this type of thing, but Francesco did such a good job that it put me completely at ease. I am hoping that we will make a second trip here with friends in the years ahead, at which point Ai'd like to ask Francesco to cook a meal for us. I bet it would be amazing.
To top all of this wonderful experience off - the views from Croce di Bibbiano are absolutely unbelievable! You can see the walled town on San Gimignano from many places, including the patio of our flat. It is beautiful at all times of day, shining under the sun, floating above the fog on a misty day, or gleaming against the orange of a beautiful sunset.
Can you tell? We loved this place, beginning to end.

Room Tip: If you have a room that looks out on San Gimignano, that's ideal. But if not, there are many pla...

We stayed here for a week in September 2014 as 6 couples to celebrate a girlfriend's 60th birthday and we were not disappointed with our accommodation. We had 3 apartments and these were larger than we expected with all facilities and very comfortable and clean. We cooked 3 nights because of the great facilities and ate al fresco with plenty of tables and chairs outdoor. The view is amazing - San Gimignano in the background surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves - perfect sunset photos!
Francesco was the perfect host - nothing was a problem and he was always happy to give recommendations on places to see. Silvia and Matteo were always on hand also so could find no fault with the service. We had Francesco cook for us one night to celebrate the 60th birthday and it was perfect, cake and candles included!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was beyond our expectations - would recommend Croce di Bibbiano to anyone looking for a "villa" style holiday and hope to be able to visit again one day.

Room Tip: All rooms great - so peaceful and picturesque.
