Stayed from September 18 to 21, 2013. room very plain with small bathroom but clean. Breakfast meals okay but bacon never cooked just heated. One dinner okay. Other meal terrible. Went out one night to dinner at LaCertosa restaurant across from Charterhouse where monks live. Fantastic night with included opera singers, accordian player, piano player and violin and also included dancing, steak dinner with wine included. Don't miss a chance to go there. There was a Grocery complex within 2 minute walk from hotel. Ate lunch there and bought cheese and crackers for room.

2 night we spent in the hotel. The staff helped us a lot with our bike service before our Tuscany ride. The room was correct size but very clear. Breakfast was surprised, they cooked for us white eggs and served expresso coffee instead of American one. Wireless were available everywhere. First night we took dinner at their bar and it was nice small bites with great wine and surpassingly good price.

Room Tip: Last floor room (5th) was our selection.

We spent 4 days in September with a Cosmos Trip: very very bad! The worst hotel of our trip!!!!!!!! Besides the nice lady at the front desk, this place was really bad. The room hasn't been upgraded in years. There's mold in the bathroom. The place was old and dirty. Spend your money elsewhere!

Stayed from July 3rd to 7th, 2013 while on vacation with COSMOS Tours to Italy. Hotel location is good, rooms little small but clean. Rooms poorly stocked, toiletries minimal and low quality. Hotel staff indifferent and NO ENGLISH.
Food OK for non-vegetarians but nothing on offer for pure vegetarians. Restaurant perhaps contracted to outside agency. We had very bad experience - my wife is vegetarian and COSMOS tour director was told which we understand was conveyed to restaurant. But dinner was served to her after removing pork pieces. However, minute pieces were give-aways. When we questioned, restaurant manager told us that it was pure veg, but could not fool us and little shouting forced his admission of guilt - so much for the honesty & integrity of this hotel as well as that of the COSMOS tour Director. Restaurant opens 7 a.m.. Rooms don't have tea/coffee maker - probably understanding between COSMOS & Hotel - cost-cutting?
This hotel made us loose all our love for Italian food.

Room Tip: Nothing special. Don't eat food here. Super market is nearby.

We stayed here whilst on a Cosmos tour so no idea of cost but it was a very nice hotel. Great location as we visited many placed while being based here. All staff were very friendly and helpful and went the extra mile. The food was excellent both breakfast and dinners, and the waiting staff were very good. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean and the shower was one of the best ever showers!! We found a local outdoor swimming pool, about a 15 minute walk away, which was excellent and worth spending the day at. The supermarket in the shopping centre just across the car park was very handy!

Pros:
- good breakfast.
- good size for a double room.
- reasonably clean.
- close to a supermarket.
- bed is not bad.
- hairdryer is functionable.
- towels changed daily.

Cons:
- weak wifi and always dropped out.
- aircon is weak. Warm for summer and even early fall.
- couldn't plug in charger except for the one used by the hairdryer.
- no complimentary bottled water or drinks but u can get from the nearby supermart cheaply.
- no tissues, tooth paste and shampoo provided.
- tv is old.
- the man at concierge looked grumpy all the time and didn't have any face expression. Trust me, he wasn't on botox.

Value for money:
Not sure because it's included in the tour package. No idea how much the tour agent paid.

Stopped here on a Cosmos tour. Room was a nice size & very clean (hairdryer in room). There was free Wi-Fi, food both at breakfast & evening meal was good & plentiful. The meals were toast with a topping & salad, pasta, pork with potatoes & veg & chocolate mousse. Cheese suffle, risotto, veal stew (very salty), whites beans & olive mash, fruit salad & ice cream. Barley cucumber & tomato salad, Tuscan bean soup (delicious), turkey, potatoes & veg and melon. Breakfast, spoilt for choice cereal, prunes, pear, peach yogurts, bacon, scrambled egg, pastries & cakes & more.
Reception staff were pleasant & helpful, you can get a map from the front desk & they will help you with directions.
There is a large supermarket very near by.The town of Poggibonsi is about a 10 - 15 minute walk, you need to cross the bridge over the river & go through the underpass. The restaurants don't open until 7 to 730pm & there is a very nice traditional gelataria on the edge of the square & it is very cheap. There is also a market in the town on a Tuesday.
