We took the Odysseys tour of Italy from Naples to Venice. As one of our stops, we stayed at the Villa Lecchi Hotel in Poggibonsi, Italy. It was a wonderful Villa and the family that owns and runs the Villa made us feel very welcome and at home from the very beginning of when we arrived. The view from the Villa was breathtaking. The Ragazzo Family are wonderful people. Laura was great with our initial greeting and kind and helpful all the way through. Her children were very helpful and respectful.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and there were olive oil products put in the bathroom for us to use for our showers. There was nothing to complain about with the rooms. They were wonderful.

The food was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner at the Villa, and they were both great. The breakfast had such a variety of wonderful foods, and the coffee was great. There was breakfast pizza, frittata, fresh bread, fruit, coffee cakes, pastry, homemade preserves...just about anything that could make you happy. The breakfast was the best at Villa Lecchi that we had in our entire trip. Laura's husband, sister, her mother, and her children all helped with cooking and serving. They were always so gracious and kind.

Dinner was also a wonderful experience. We always had a 4-course meal, and it was different every night. It was a laid back atmosphere that enabled us to visit with each other and the tables were always set beautifully.

Laura's husband showed us how to make biscuits (like our biscotti), and we got to eat them for our dinner the night that he showed us how they were made. They were the best I have ever eaten. They even made sure that we had the recipe.

I thought I lost my recipe, and I wanted the recipe for the Tiramisu Coffee Cake they made, so I emailed Laura this week. She answered me back within a few hours with both recipes. I call that service.

My husband had some laundry done while we were there, and he got it back so clean and nicely folded. It was very reasonable and very well done.

We would stay at the Villa again, and again, and again. We loved Italy, but this was one of our favorite places, and we loved the Ragazzo family. They were perfect hosts and were wonderful to us while we were there.

The villa was our "home" for 4 nights on our tour with Odyssey, and each day was made memorable by Laura and her engaging family. Her Mother cooks traditional home-made meals accompanied by their own wine, her Husband taught us how to make their traditional cookies, very similar to biscotti, her beautiful sister is seen in the dining room at every meal, and her boys seem to do a lot of everything. The rooms and the views are so Italian Villa that I will always conjure up their home when I think of one.

I went with a tour this Summer to Italy and I had to write about a place we stayed in on our trip.
IT WAS AMAZING!! Every room is different and you feel like you are a friend staying in someone's home. Homecooked meals for dinner and breakfast!!! REALLY Homecooked by the grandmother. The meals were outstanding!!!! Your hostess greets you when you pull up and her boys delivered our suitcases to our rooms. My room had a staircase(a complete 360 degree turn going up) to a small room with a VIEW of the valley. We were treated with wonderful olive oil products for shower and bath!!!
There is a pool and a quiet and calming sauna pool. We had dinner under a tent outside with the view, then you walk over to the patio that overlooks a beautiful quiet valley with all the olive groves and grape vines. It was really breathtaking. It is so hard to describe something so beautiful as the Villa Lecchi. Thanks you Odessey for introducing us to the Villa.

Laura and her family have done an incredible job of keeping a huge property feel homey. Friendly service with rooms equipped with everything you need – including lovely samples of a local toiletries company that uses olive oil in their all-natural products.
The views are astounding. Truly remarkable. We would sit on the front patio and watch the sun set each night, each night the sun putting on an incredible show. Pomegranate and olive trees line the property which holds a huge pool area which gets the sun right up until it sets. The restaurant was also so lovely. Not having to worry about driving around on the twisty Tuscan roads at night was a treat. The food even better. Tasting like it came from your Gramma’s kitchen (if my Gramma was Italian;), it was fresh and local and Tuscan to the bone. The service was also great. The first night we didn’t finish out bottle of champagne and the second night they brought it out to us, corked and chilled. Its those little touches that make a place memorable. We really loved our stay and meeting Laura and her family. A total recommend and in a great location for sightseeing – Siena being just 40 minutes away.
