Not only is Pienza a very nice little village to visit it's position is also perfect to visit surrounding cities such as Montalcino en Montepulciano where you can load your car with the great wines (ask Elisabetta for some good cantinas). Lago di traimeno is about a 1 hour drive and worth while a visit.
When you return at the end of the day Pienza has some good restaurants with excellent local dishes and wines.
The apartments are cosy, very well decorated and make you feel welcome instantly. A lot of passion went into them. Elisabetta is a very friendly host and we hope to return there soon.
Tip:
Close to the Via dell'amore you have beautiful sights and there is a bar where you can sit outside enjoying the views even longer.
Parking van be difficult, close to Pienza it is a reserved for locals. A bit outside you will find parking areas (paid) and some spots that are free (for the lucky ones).
