“Heavenly Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2009

We had a wonderful holiday at Le Torri in July 2007 and again in 2008. Gabriele has thought of everything to make a stay there great. The food is excellent, the apartments superb and the welcome is warm and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for our hosts. Le Torri is a little peaceful and private haven but very convenient for visiting Florence, San Gimignano and lots of other lovely Tuscan sights. We have no hesitation in recommending Le Torri as a great holiday destination.

We vacationed in Tuscany in 2007 and had the pleasure of staying at Le Torri Villa. I found the Villa's site on the web then called to
book it through their office.

On the evening we arrived Gabriele's mom had prepared an unbeliveable welcome dinner. It was fabulous, meats, fish, salads, homegrown vegetables, desserts, wines, all so fresh and delicious.

Our apt was quaint, clean, romantic and gorgeous. The Villa is surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and rolling Tuscan hills. Amazing!

Gabriele and his family were courteous, helpful and went out their way to make sure our stay was a memorable one. We travel abroad every year or two, but we have never experienced anything like Le Torri. We can't wait to return.

You will treasure you stay there!!

  • Liked — Everything!! Apt, Food, People, centrally located, view of hills

Le Torri is fantastic. The grounds are beautiful, with olive trees everywhere. The rooms have everything you need for your holiday however you do need to stock your kitchen with all the essentials including the staples. You do have the option to order food and have it in your room upon arrival. We chose to go into the village to get groceries and found everything we needed. I'd recommend buying the wine they sell on the property. You are close to a lot of great cities so you have the option of doing day trips or just hanging out by the pool. The first night dinner was included and it was fantastic. You get te chance to meet everyone that's staying at the property for the week, the family makes platters and platters of fantastic food, and you drink lots of wine. Most people are gone during the day and if you don't want to be social there's plenty of places to do that around the property. We paid to have dinner on Wednesday, not to be missed, and enjoyed another great homemade meal. We took day trips to Firenze, Siena, Pisa, and even Cinque Terre. Driving, and parking, in Florence is painful so I'd suggest taking the bus that leaves from the village. Gabriele has all the maps, recommendations, and was always helpful. Oh did I mention that they have a washer/dryer on site (small fee), and internet access (although a bit slow in the countryside).

  • Liked — Food, location, accomodations
  • Disliked — That the kitchen didn't have the basics (oil, salt, pepper, etc.)

The Tuscan gods must have been watching over me when I booked our stay at Le Torri. Based on Gabriele's enticing website, I booked our first visit to Tuscany. Every expectation was met and exceeded ! Gabriele and his family made our stay in Tuscany one of our most memorable and enjoyable vacations. I have traveled and stayed in many places (I'm an airline employee) and I must say that Le Torri was the best ever. The villa is magical ! Gabriele has attended to every detail and I promise you will feel like you are at home!

Our stay at Le Torri was the perfect Tuscan experience. The villa and its grounds were lovely and the owners were wonderful hosts. Our apartment was spacious , quiet, and comfortable - quaint but with all the modern amenities. The location was perfect for those wanting a quiet Tuscan experience, while also being only a 20 minute bus ride to Florence. Driving to the other hill towns was simple and pleasant. There were many good restaurants close by, as well as wineries. We had a lovely experience and we would absolutely stay there again and recommend it to all our friends.

We really lucked out here. I booked based solely on the reviews and recommendations on Trip Advisor. We had a wonderful stay at Le Torri. Lots of help with directions and maps and an extra bed put in one of the rooms. We were especially thankful for the help with our rental car. Gabriele found a local mechanic late Saturday afternoon to look under the car; something was hanging down after a wrong turn on a dirt (I should say rocky) road. This saved us much grief as most places are closed on Sundays and the alternative was a taxi back to Florence for a replacement car. Thank you again, Gabriele. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Le Torri to a friend. Clean, quiet, dream inducing and a yummy welcome buffet on Saturday night. All home made. A real treat.

We booked our stay at Le Torri from a recommendation by friends who had previously stayed here and loved it and we were also delighted with our stay here. Le Torri is set in the Tuscan hills with beautiful views and is an oasis to come back to after a day of sightseeing in the nearby towns of Florence, Siena, Pisa and numerous others. Some days we would just relax by the pool and soak up the sun. Saturday evenings when many guests arrive, Le Torri provides a free informal Tuscan buffet dinner, including wine, which is delicious and provides an opportunity to meet the other guests. Also one evening during the week guests are invited, if they wish, for a reasonable price to an incredible Tuscan dinner prepared by Gabriele's (the Manager) mother. We can honestly say this was the best dinner we had in all of the places we visited in Italy including Rome !
