“A perfect Tuscan holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

If you're looking for a true Tuscan country holiday, look no further. This charming place, set in the midst of olive trees, has to be perfect in every way.
Comfortable, for couple or families, each villa is complete to allow you independent living. You can choose to request for a breakfast basket and sit out on your private patio to enjoy it in the morning. Else, you can stock up your kitchenette with essentials from the close by Alimentary / Coop; and live life at your pace.

There's plenty of pizzerias in the vicinity to choose from. Having a set of wheels, with a GPS, is essential to get there and allow you to enjoy your home away from home.

Room Tip: Choose a villa overlooking the valley.

“Il Borgo di Villa Bossi-Pucci”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Il Borgo di Villa Bossi-Pucci in Montegnana just south of Florence and about an hour from Pisa is a great way to go, see, and experience Tuscany "TURN KEY". The hotel management (Allesandro and Staff) take care of everything from picking you up by comfortable van, to preparing meals, to taking you TO the sites with no parking or long walks to city centers; they teach you the ways, they give tours enroute to the major attractions, breakfast is great, cooking classes are available. They call the week long experience "Lessons in Tuscany", and it's a package that can't be beat for convenience and no hassels. Unless you really like to plan and execute your own trips, this is the best way to see Tuscany and delve into the culture and food and scenery of Tuscany.

Room Tip: Try to face the Tuscan sunsets; i.e.; a western exposure.

My friend, Sabina, and I were not expecting the royal treatment we received from the beginning with the opening of the gate to the entrance of Villa Bossi-Pucci and Alessandro greeting us each with a bouquet of flowers to the magnificent view of the rolling hills of Tuscany from the balcony! It took our breadth away--and that was in the first 10 minutes! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well cared for. Our pictures are beautiful. It just got better and better each day. We took a cooking class the first evening we were there. Absolutely delicious. Barbara is a wonderful chef and teacher. The days that followed were filled with Voltera, Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano, Greve and the Winery and the fabulous ceramic factory! The local restaurants served us the most amazing and delicious meals. I am hooked on wild boar!!! Each morning a delightful surprise awaited us in our breakfast baskets. We had a hard time dividing our little treasures. Alessandro, Niccola, Marta, Barbara and the entire staff at Il Borgo made this the most memorable trip to Italy. We expect to return again and again with other members our families. Mille Grazie Alessandro e tutti at Il Borgo e tante belle cose. A presto!

Room Tip: If you can, get a two bedroom villa. The view is magnificent!

“Experiencing Tuscany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

This was our second stay at Il Borgo, and it was even more rewarding than our first. Alessandro is an outstanding host, and he made arrangements to accommodate everyone's desires. The "Lessons of Tuscany" tour guides were excellent in each town we visited, and every day was an adventure and a learning experience. The accommodations are luxurious, and the views from every unit create marvelous memories.

Room Tip: They all seem good.

“A Fabulous Way to Experience Tuscany!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

I stayed here with a few friends. It was wonderful! Alessandro had set up an itinerary ahead of time for us (we told him what we wanted to experience). We had our own driver, Tiziano, wherever we went. He brought us to wherever we needed to be and was there to pick us up when we were done. He was always smiling, even though sometimes we were a little late meeting him. The dinners Alessandro arranged for us were fabulous, at small local Mom & Pop restaurants (you eat outside as if you were in someone's backyard)! Every morning we received a basket with breakfast food: coffee, danish, cookies, yogurt, etc. On the days we had a "field trip" planned, Alessandro greeted us with the itinerary for the day and bottles of water. When we returned cans of soda and Alessandro were there to welcome us back. Pool there was a nice plus. Would definitely return (but with a portable fan for sleeping in hot summer nights!
