The Hotel is fabulous, it meanders along the coastline with 4 seperate pools 3 of which have waterfalls from one to another so in total 6 small pools & 1 pool you could swim lenghts in.
There is a larger private beach with umberellas & reclining chairs and then there is also another smaller beach. The beach areas are very covey with pathways through the trees & rocks. You could sunbath somewhere different every day ! We had no problems finding sunbeds - no getting up at the crack of dawn to put your towels out ! And we often moved later in the day.
The sea - AMAZING !! It is a lovely cool temperature & so clear, there are loads of fish more where you can stand than if you swim out, the snorkelling is fantastic our 7 yr old son was hooked ! (Take a bread roll down & the fish flock to you). You get beach/pool towels on arrival which are included, I think it was 2 euros if you wanted to exchage for clean.
The rooms were lovely, we were slightly disappointed initially as it was different from most hotel we have stayed in, very quaint - but please don't be put of with this as they fit in with the look off the rest of the hotel. The bathrooms are spacious & supply shower gel & shampoo, also the hair dryer is very good (tip when drying your hair prop open the door to the bedroom to get the air con) There is plenty if storage in a lovely walk in wardrobe and extra drawers. There are no room safes but you can get a safety deposit box at reception which you can access as much as you want to.
If you can get a sea facing room or even a ground floor room as you can walk out of your balcony to the pool areas (there is an extra charge for this though)! Tip if the beds are too firm for you put a blanket under the sheet .
Breakfast is continental style overlooking the sea, lunch is either in the restaurant or in the beach bar - lots of pasta (well it is Italian) again over looking the sea, evening meal was in a seperate restaurant - 4 courses very nice.
However you can walk to Baia for much more choice on food & drinks which is the main reason we had picked the hotel which is 5mins Max ! You could of even swam there !
The highlight though is on an evening sittiing in the bar looking out over the sea & the Islands in the distance and watching the sun set. The views are spectacular and you are always noticing something different - you think they empty & then when the sun goes down all the twickly lights can be seen.
If you are adventourous go into Baia & rent a speed boat we were quoted 100 euros for the full day plus gas (approx 50) some people we met did it & you can go all round the Islands they really enjoyed it & very good value.
Porto Cervo is also a must see for all the HUGE boats & designer shops - just be vary were you drink as they are more expensive here, we found the Ferrari to be most reasonable.
We LOVED this hotel & would return in a heart beat ! Carribean beach & sea only 2hr 20 mins away.
