We booked this holiday/hotel through a company called 'Just Sardinia' which we can thoroughly recommend.
We booked an up-graded room, to a Junior Suite, which I would definitely suggest is worth the extra cost, the room was spacious, but rustic, exceptionally clean, beautiful fresh white linen, a super-king size bed, but with an extra firm/hard mattress!
We didn't book a sea view, but still ended up with a partial sea view any way. (Room 610).
The location of this hotel is amazing, right on the sea front, with a private beach about 5 minutes walk away along a footpath through a wooded area.
There is a beach right outside the hotel, but this is very expensive to sunbathe on with or without a sun bed being purchased.
Many tourists visiting Sardinia arrive in coaches to visit this very bay, as it is so beautiful, one of the best in the Northern area.
The reception staff in the hotel are very helpful, and well presented. The WiFi here is poor, really only works well if sat in the reception area, unless you pay 5 Euros per day for the 4G upgrade!
We booked early and originally we planned to pay for half board, but due to booking early we were given full board at no extra cost, which was lovely. Also, because we had booked a Junior Suite were we able to eat our meals each evening at a designated table in the roof top/veranda restaurant overlooking the sea and promenade. Other guest had to pay extra to eat in this restaurant on an evening if not booked into a Suite of Junior Suite.
The food was delicious, lots of salad, cheese, fish, meat and of course pasta.
I am Gluten Free which means having the chef cater for me each meal with a special full GF pasta menu and also a wonderful hand made desert, made for me by the chef at this hotel is wonderful, the chef was clearly very understanding of dietary needs.
I would like to mention two of the staff in the restaurant who really stood out. Firstly Alessandro, He is a very comical Italian gentleman who provides both great customer service, attention to detail but also humour.
Also, Roberto M, he was such a caring young man, clearly working very hard (as all the staff do here) but trying to please and provide fabulous customer service, which he is achieving, well done to him for being so lovely to us during our stay here.
it is clear that the staff in the restaurant are passionate about getting it right, whilst catering to English, Italian and German clients in the main.
My husband likes adventure/sporty holidays, but even he got into the chilled and relaxing mode of this break, the area just leaves you feeling relaxed and helps ease the cares away if you lead a stressful life back home with work etc.
There are wonderful boat trips to visit surrounding islands, but we also booked a half day quad biking with a company called Aisoni Quad, fantastic, not cheap but fantastic we saw so much more of the island not promoted on many of the oher trips such as Monto Moro, the highest part of the island in the north.
we were blessed with great weather, except for one day, our last day in fact.
There is no pool at the hotel, as clearly stated, there is one small sun lounge/veranda area for sun bathing, it is typical here of the 'olden days' where certain nationalities leave their towels on the beds from before 7am and get very heated and in fact aggressive if they think anyone has moved their towel of changed places or even as the law states 'the towel does not reserve the sun bed', many go off for hours sight seeing or whatever reserving beds in this manner which is both rude and inconsiderate, it would be nice if this was better policed for all hotel guests.
