“Will Return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

We stayed for a week at Mon Repos and opted for a superior room. The room was spacious and kept spotlessly clean. There was a large bathroom with a walk in shower and large balcony with table and chairs and comfy sunloungers.
We received a warm welcome on arrival, and were given a map of the area, and a timetable for the buses. After a quick shower we headed out for the evening. The location of the hotel is excellent, just a stone's throw from the centre with its restaurants, bars and shops. Baja Sardinia is a small resort, with all amenities close at hand.
The restaurant served a good breakfast, with the usual continental food, plus hot food (eggs, bacon, sausage) with coffee, tea, and chocolate along with fruit juices and water. Dinner is also recommended, and we ate there a few times during our stay. The food is excellent, so is the wine. There is a 10% discount for guests of the hotel.
The staff at the hotel were pleasant and courteous. The maids called at the room early evening check that everything was satisfactory, and a turn-down service was provided every evening, with a change of towels for the next morning.
The swimming pool was well maintained with plenty of sunloungers. We opted for the beach most days, although the hire of 2 beds and an umbrella set us back 21 euros a day. The sea was clear blue and perfect for a dip to cool off in the hot sun. There are a lot of beach sellers passing back and fore. They do not bother you unless you show interest in the items for sale, even then, they are not pushy, and will not harass you.
There are a lot of steps to get into the hotel. This could be a problem for the less mobile. Apart from that, everything was perfect.
We enjoyed our stay in Baja Sardinia and hope to return in the future. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I would recommend the superior rooms. Large balcony, and very spacious and comfortable.

These two words describes everything about this hotel experience.
The location is great. Beautiful view of the bay. 2 minutes walk to the marvelous beach.
Very clean and spacious room. Very comfortable beds with sheets white as snow and smell good.
Big pleasure!
Smiling courteous affable staff are ready and happy to help and answer any questions.
The Corbezzolo Restaurant aside the hotel is highly recommended.
The breakfast is very rich and so is dinner. All kinds of sea food and of course Italian food. Very good and tasty.
In short - Wonderful vacation in a great hotel.

we stayed here for a week at the end of July 2013. the location of the hotel was perfect. just a few steps down through the beautiful flowered gardens took you into the central piazza where all the restaurants, bars, beaches and shops were. the hotels staff were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. the rooms were clean and airy, air con a welcome relief from the heat of the day.
im not one to grumble but the pillows were not very comfortable and made my first few nights sleep not great but this is typical in a lot of italian hotel in my experience. aside from this small point the hotel was great and i would highly recommend it.

We stayed for 5 days in one of the superior rooms with sea view - admittedly you could only see the sea from the huge terrace. Room was slightly small for a superior room, not sure how much smaller the standard rooms were. Despite the mountains of sand that we brought in every day the room was perfectly clean.

Location was perfect, a few steps away from the main street and beach
Hotel staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful - but really in 2013 an iphone charger at reception could be a good idea. Internet is unstable and once you have a password try not to forget it as you will be asked to log back in... fresh beach towels and lifesaving umbrellas were available at reception which was perfect.

we didnt get to try the restaurant as we discovered the beach restaurant L'Approdo on´the first day and stuck with it. Try everything there but especially the Busa are divine.

All in al a place we are looking forward to come back to very soon!

My wife and I stayed here for a week in June and we were very glad we researched it and chose this hotel.
The hotel is very clean, set out in very nice gardens and has lots of areas to sit around and enjoy the holiday.
The girls on reception were very helpfull, especially Andrea who was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are good, clean, lots of storage space, wifi is available and we had a nice balcony with table and chairs and 2 sunbeds.
The pool is to one side of the hotel and although it has no sea views, it doesn't have the wind and breeze problem that the beach has and it is very quiet and relaxing.
The breakfasts are great, fried eggs, bacon and sausages, toaster, rolls, cereals and fruits plus the unusual benefit of a juice machine so you can make fresh apple, celery and carrot drinks yourself.

The hotel backs onto the main walkway to the beach and all the bars and places to eat are no more than 2 minutes away, as this Baia Sardinia area is actaully very small. If you turn right instead of left to the beach, you are just 2 minutes away from a great resteraunt called "ILCuscio" where the meals are bigger and better and also cheaper, which must be why it was packed every night, expecially with locals.

There is a supermarket just 10 minutes walk away in the same direction of IL Cuscio and the food and drink are cheap there and if you want a bottle of red wine, Connonau is lovely.

Ways to improve service would be to add cushions to the sunbeds around the pool which can feel hard after a while and also better advertisement and promotion of the drinks and food services available during the day. There is a gym but again is is not easy to find and could be advertised better.

All in all a really good hotel, great staff and I would reccomend this place to all

Room Tip: Beach facing rooms have great views and the lovely smell of the wood burning oven

A very quick review. Bumped here for one night due to overbooking by another hotel. Wish we had stayed the 4 nights here in all honesty.

The room was actually quite small but had a large balcony, very clean and comfortable though. The communal areas of the hotel were very charming and pretty. Great attention to detail. Didn't find the pool!
Breakfast was the best we had in Italy and Sardinia, well made pastries, breads, nice range of meats, cheeses, friend or boiled eggs...it was all very good.

Staff were charming, a real little gem.

We had very nice experience in this hotel: as our family room was unavailable when we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite, with a balcony and a very beautiful view. The hotel is well situated, very very clean, the staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good, with fresh fruits and vegetables to make your own juices.
