My wife and i spent 10 wonderful days at this fantastic hotel. We had a one bedroom suit to ourselves with a view to the sea. The service was just superb, we had breakfast in bed every day and it was brought by the Matre D and a waiter, they laid it all out on our little terrace outside, it was always hot and fresh. The pool is lovely to swim in and the service around the pool was first class. The hotels restaurant although buffet in style served some excellent food. The suckling pig one evening was mouth watering.

We loved our stay at Hotel La Rocca. I was very nervous booking this hotel because I strictly went off what people said about the hotel, needless to say we were sooooo satisfied! I will admit I am a very picky person when it comes to hotels, and I searched far and wide for the perfect stay for our honeymoon, and this was a perfect choice.Regardless, of any negative comments I have read about the hotel, the good reviews overpowered the bad. The customer service was great, they answered all of our questions and helped us with any request we needed. The private beach was great, the driver would pick you up and drop you off anytime which was a great plus. the beach was about a 5 min drive but walking would be alittle tough, plus it was very hot. Being of italian descent, the food was AWESOME!!!!! Everything we ate was sooo good and tasty!! I can still taste all the great pasta we had. We had a appetizer buffet, choice of 1st plate which is usual pasta and chioce of 2nd plate which would consist of a meat,fish or chicken. YummY!!! The waiters were all so very nice. We went to porto cervo one night and took the bus which was a 10 ride, very nice!! another day the hotel driver dropped us off at a near by beach Baja Sardinia which had shops and restaurants on the beach, very nice!! and when we were done they came to pick us up. Very Accomodating!! If you are thinking of staying here, please do, it was sooo nice and relaxing. The rooms were so clean!!! I am sooo particular when it comes to the cleaniness of a hotel room. Again we had an amazing time, I was soo sad to leave and i can't wait to go back to La Rocca!!! Fantastic!

Nice hotel to stay at the Costa Smeralda. The hotel itself is beautiful, rooms big and lovely. Good breakfast, although dinner is not great. We stayed at half board for 4 nights and regretted. However, lunch in the beach bar is a much better quality, but on the expensive side. The swimming pool is nice and big, with a good relaxation area, its 2m deep. There is also a spa.

The beach is nice - maybe not the most beautiful lagoon, but the water is clear, beach clean, people comfortably spaced out. The beach bar is just behind, with some sunbeds on the little terrace above the beach itself for those who find it too windy.

Good: lovely rooms, nice beach and swimming pool

Bad: food for dinner is average, beach not really accessible on foot (although only 2mins drive). Basement restarant for dinner - not so nice, however they told us there would be a big terrace next year

We chose this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary. There are plenty of reasons to choose this hotel though there are a few things they need to work on for it to be rated "Excellent" and a true 4-start hotel.

First the hotel's garden exterior is a pure oasis in among Sardenia's many olive trees and cacti. The welcoming staff at reception were very warm and helpful. The restaurant staff went above and beyond the call of duty. The women in charge at the restaurant was extremely professional, appeared well-respected by her colleagues and went out of her way to make our anniversary extra special. They all worked incredibly hard (same team for the early-morning breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts for the weekdays and weekends).
The Spa was the best one we've ever been to. On the hottest days we sought refuge in the multiple temperature rooms (Sauna, Turkish bath, thalassotherapy room -- all with relaxing scents and music). The variety of scented showers was the ultimate highlight.
We paid extra for two massages, a foot massage and a facial. The talented masseuse, while she didn't speak English or French, was able to understand our broken Italian. She was very good and we recommend her services.
The beach was a short drive away and was clean with the sun-beds. The lunch service was as good as the hotel with a variety of excellent selections.
The rooms were clean and the early evening turn-down service (with new towels for the beach and the bathroom) was much appreciated.

There are a few, simple things the hotel needs to improve that we've seen in other 4-star hotels:
A vanity mirror in the bathroom, better storage area for toiletries, installing a full-length mirror in the room, providing different pillows with a variety of hardness and softness, better signage for the reception parking and the main parking lot.
