“Well worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Essentially a wine bar serving very good value, home made, rustic style Italian food. We enjoyed a very good evening meal here and went back for lunch on our last day in Salo.

There are tables in the bar area and in a dining area at the back. The owner serves at the bar while the food is cooked at the top of the building and served by very efficient young staff. The tables by the bar are a good spot for people watching as the patron is quite a character, holding court with locals who pop in for a drink and a chat. The wine selection, both by the glass and the bottle, is extensive.

We tried a range of dished, all of which were excellent.

“One of the best meals I had a in Italy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

We had lunch on a Sunday on this restaurant. The food was fantastic and their house wine was very good. We ordered a lasagna and the Sunday Roast. The roast was truly delicious and the house lasagna was very tasty.

“Never disappoints”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012 via mobile

We have visited this restaurant every year for the past 9 years and I've never had a bad meal.

The seasonal menu is always delicious - yesterday I had the primi spaghetti with seafood which was huge (really couldn't manage any of my secondi so be warned). The tagliatelle with pumpkin, marrow and scampi was also delicious if a little sweet/rich. Both of these primi's could have been split between two.

For secondi I recommend the fish of the day or tagliata or veal.

The waitress was a little sour faced however, this didn't spoil our meal and for 75 euro for 5 (3 adults, 2 kids) we were very happy.

It's a little off the beaten track but is very popular with locals so try to book or you may be disappointed.

“Like the US”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

Food was ok-ish although the fish looked like it had a car crash. But after frinishing food, with still some wine left, everything was being done to make clear that they wanted the table free again and I had outstayed my welcome. Why just not say so?!
