“Fantastic choice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2012

The hotel is Located at the Portaria village in the Pelion mountain, sitting at wonderful scenery. We stayed there while traveling in Greece this year. We enjoyed the large and beautiful Deluxe Suite with excellent view to Volos, generous facilities, and the friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast served in a nice restaurant with fireplace and nice view. We enjoyed homemade dinner at 1990 Restaurant. Hope to visit again.
I would recommend this hotel to everybody for summer or winter holidays!

Portaria is very famous destination for holidays every season. I stayed at this hotel with my husband due to our anniversary. We choose the Superior Suite. The suite was very comfortable with master bedroom and lounge area with fireplace. Every morning we have breakfast in our room. We did excursions to Makrinitsa and Milies. Pelion has many choices and beautiful nature. The hit of this hotel is the Spa with the heated swimming pool (you have to pay extra) and the plenty of body and face therapies. We did Thai massage and Reflexology. The hotel also has a nice loddy cafe area with perfect view to the sea.

Being stayed at this hotel was quite nice experience. The hotel is located on the mountain 20 min from Volos and has a great view to the sea and big parking space area. Breakfast was full and served at veranda. I appreciate that they don't charge extra for cappuccino on the breakfast. The room was comfort with all necessery facilities. The best tip is the spa. Don't miss it. We went to makrinitsa a very closed village for walking and we enjoyed the traditional buildings as well the nature. Also don't miss on summer the seaside pelion beaches.

We had heard about the Portaria from a friend. We loved the Portaria in every way. The staff, the location, the spacious room and modern design, the beautiful and uber comfortable bed, and all the amenities.
Dinner in 1990 restaurant on our first night was very very good-amazing greek traditional food and atmosphere. The design, based on a mixture of traditional architecture and modern, was sophisticated, comfortable and very warm.
The view was stunning! It's on a key location to give easy access to all the beaches and to the villages of Pelion mountain.
After a full day of activities it's wonderful to slip into the a bathrobe and walk over to the pool/spa area. We swam, enjoyed the jacuzzi- wonderful! Took some time to lazy on the loungers reading a book and just relaxing.

Our stay at the Portaria must be rated as exceptional. We will be back for sure!!!
