“Great place to eat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

We had this taverna recommended by our Thompson holiday rep. What a stunning place! Had dinner there twice. Food good, and the service was friendly and efficient. Loved the boat construction and the view across the bay. The food is cooked across the road in the main building and the waiters carry it across the road - good spectator sport when the road is busy!

If you are in Skala it is well worth a visit.

“What a fantastic place..!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

We stayed at the Villa Costa, Skala and found this amazing taverna by accident. Its past the edge of the village on the coast road, keeping the sea to your right.(I think that's north!).
Its a boat on the hillside.. you cannot miss it.
The staff are amazing, the food is outstanding and the views are beautiful.
The grilled sardines were my personal favourite, however the prawns were also an amazing meal.
We even tried the beef burger....yummy!
We had many a scrumptious meal here...freshly caught fish is on display daily.
The staff are so friendly and generous and we soon made friends with them all.
We will certainly return
We send our love to them all.
From the stuffed sardine eaters xxxxxx

“Fantastic views & great if you like fish”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

The Nautilus is a ship on a mini cliff, with fantastic views out to sea. It is just on the outskirts of Skala, on the main road to Poros. Predominantly a fish restaurant, it does serve non-fish dishes. We are not fish lovers so chose the risotto which was well presented and very tasty. All credit to the waiters who not only were welcoming and friendly but also have to take their lives in their hands crossing the road with dishes of food.

“Best fish restaurant in Skala! Worth the walk / taxi!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013 via mobile

Situated outside Skala towards Poros the Nautilus gave us the best meal of our holiday. A meal that is true restaurant class with wonderful views over the sea from the quirky boat shaped seating area. If you stay at the Aeolos Hotel this is just 5 minutes around the corner and well worth the walk. Portions are an excellent size and the Tuna steak and seafood pasta dishes were wonderful. Ok it maybe a taxi ride or a good walk, but worth it!

“Boat on the shore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

This was closed when we came last year in May, so we were pleased to see it open this time. The restaurant is split by the road. The main part is inside, but the boat part is on the opposite side of the road. It is built to look like a boat which is quite amusing. The views are obviously gorgeous being right on the beach. We had fishcakes and mushrooms al a crème to start. Both were lovely, and huge. We had Fisherman's risotto and tuna linguine for main and although the risotto was lovely the linguine was not. The staff were fab though and I feel for them, they take their lives in their hands every night racing across the road, car dodging to serve hot and sweaty guests. All credit to them.
