Owner description: 4000ft long Aquaduct Tunnel 'often compared to the Wonders of the World' as it is one of only two tunnels in history that was excavated from both ends and met in the middle with success (and this was in 6thCenturyBC - before any kind of mapping or surveying)!

“A great place to cool off”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2012

An amazing piece of engineering, lovely and cool but not for the claustrophobic! Its about a 15 min walk from town (in the heat) and the views on the way are great.

“Extraordinary place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

You must see this place of you are okay in enclosed places. Not suitable for claustophobics as the entrance is narrow and low. Its fascinating.

“Interesting because of the story behind it”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

You can walk a 100 meters into this tunnel. The costs are 4 euro. It is interesting if you know the whole story behind it. Practically there isnt to much to been seen.

“Good site to visit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

If your like me and not claustrophobic then this trip is very interesting. However if you are like my husband and don't like small spaces then give this one a miss. You have to walk down a narrow tunnel to get into the main tunnel which opens up. There's not that much to see but its wonderful to think that it was built thousands of years ago.
