Just got back from the San Lorenzo village hotel in Kefalonia and had a lovely holiday.I was recommended this place by a work mate who had been a few years previously and told me how clean the place was.And she was right!On arrival there was fresh fruit,tea and coffee making facilities, a small bottle of washing up liquid and even a pan scrubber and teatowel, something we have never had before,there was shampoo and conditioner,shower caps and flannels and fluffy white towels which we sparkling clean, so were the lovely white sheets.Our balcony overlooked the pool and the sea which was beautiful.The staff were helpful and served some lovely snacks at the pool bar,which to be honest sometimes were better than some of the resturants we went to.The pool was always clean and plenty of sunbeds altho as it was August and busy it looked like u had to be there quite early.As we hired a car we were very rarely around the pool, i can recommend Etam car hire where Nikki Nancy and Phil will give you plenty of help and show u on a map the best places to visit.Lassi is quite a busy place and watch out for the maniac drivers who turn or stop with no signals, if ur lucky they will put theyre hazards on at the last minute!In all the greek islands i have been to Kefalonia takes the biscuit for the worst drivers even the taxi drivers were better than the locals it has to be said, after saying that out of Lassi and up in the mountains is another story and the views are breathtakingly beautful,Assos and Fiskardo are a must to see if you like people watching with a frappe to help you along the way.Back to the San Lorenzo,i would recommend it to anybody who appreciates the little extras an appartment complex has to give, you will certainly get the good things here with lovely helpful staff to go with it.

we have stayed here 3 times and are going back this month. we absolutley love it . it is relaxing and peaceful but not too far away from the beach and nightlife. the staff are always helpful and friendly. the appartments may be small but they are spotless - they are cleaned every day. the towels are also changed everyday and beach towels are available to use with just a 10 euro deposit. there is a hill to walk up to get to the appartments, yes you can get out of puff with it and it is not suited if you have trouble walking - but i am not fit and my husband has had a back operation and it does not put us off. the pool is one of the best we have found during our different holidays in greece, the baby pool is also fab - we took our 3 year old niece with us last year for 2 weeks and she loved it and managed the hill! the snack bar is great and they also offer a shopping service so you dont have to lug all your water up the hill. i realy cannot rate these appartments high enough !!

We have just returned from a holiday at San Lorenzo Village, Lassi, Cephalonia.

The Apartments are very small but clean (no air con but it is quite a cool room) and all have a wonderful view over the pool and out to sea.

The swimming pool is not too deep and cleaned every morning, there is a pool bar serving snacks from 8 until Midnight. The staff is the bar and reception are brilliant expecially Dorothy!

The only downside is the location of the apartments they are at the top of a hill, the travel agents do tell you in the brochures but what you need to think about is the heat in Greece it is no fun walking up and down that hill is the middle of the day! People with pushchairs really struggled. I would not recommend these apartments unless you are reasonably fit.
