“Perfect for a couple!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2009

Recently my boyfriend and I got back from Lassi and we stayed at Irini Studios. It was very clean and well kept. The bathroom was compact but how long are you likely to spend in there!? The kitchen came with the essentials, great for self-catering. It was very cosy and perfect for me and my boyfriend.
From both balconies there were incredible views, great to sit out there and have a drink or relax. If your worried about the heat, they offer Air-conditioning or a fan for a small price!
Irini Studios doesn't have a pool but there are various pools that welcome you to use them, also the beach is a 5-10 min walk away, there are a few to choose from. All are gorgeous!
Also just down the hill from Irini Studios on the main road, you'll find a supermarket called Dolphin Supermarket for all your needs!

We had a great time in Lassi and give Irini Studios " A thumbs up!"

Just come back from Irini Studios, Lassi end July/Aug, with my partner and 13 yr old daughter, the apt was ok, my daughter slept in kitchen area which is small but ok, bathroom small & compact (nicely tiled.) Clean towels & bedding changed regulaly, terrace spacious. Views great. Didn't have a pool, but did find afew that we could use, do check as some charge 5 euros per bed. Cockerel got on nerves with its early morning wake up call and the hunting dogs, barking alot at night, the locals don't seem to hear them! But apart from that pretty good. Wouldn't let that put you off going. The walk up the hill was hard at first, but did get easier as the days went on, ( got quite fit towards the end of hols) however my partner did find a short cut, down passed the Sissy Pool/Bar to the left, which cut off most of hill, this is only a slight slope, not lite though only went down when still light. Found most of the restuarants were good, and prices reasonable too. Went to The Eden alot for drinks, Tina who runs it is lovely, the surroundings are fab, coloured water features, laid back and relaxed, which you find most of restuarants/bars are, and everybody speaks good english, which puts us brits to shame when we can't understand there language, did try a few words which went down well, and wasn't corrected which is a bonus. The beaches were lovely, and the sunset beautiful. Argostoli was good, walked it there twice, once main rd and second time through the little streets. Fab boats. Nothing really for kids to do, swimming and people watching. Taxi usually 5-6 Euros. Do check out the supermarket prices, bottled water at the Dolphin was 80 Euros, but only 40 Euros further near the resturants. Overall had great time, partner must of enjoyed it, proposed on our beach party, down near the mediterrean hotel, watching the sunset. Romantic.
pics to follow.

I was a little aprehensive when on the transfer coach to see what these studio apartments were like, there were a lot of mixed reviews. I was put at ease when we got in to our apartment, we had a lovely view of the beach from both our balcony's- the apartment was clean and well maintained, the kitchen was small but perfect for what we needed it for.
The studios are set back from the main strip - taking about 5 mins to walk in to town and about 10 mins to the local beach, but if you are thinking of going to kefalonia i highly recommend hiring a car. We hired one for 5 days and explored the whole island, it really is beautiful and the sun sets/ beaches are to die for! Assos is a place you must visit, its gorgeous :) Highly recommend Irini as a place to stay!!

We have been back from the Irini Studios for about 4 weeks now and after promising Athina (the wonderful owner) we would write a glowing review of her fantastic aprtments thought it about time to do so.

Having stayed in various accomodation in Greece you pretty much know what to expect from self catering studios. The Irini Studios however is probably the best accomodation of this type we have come accross.

Set back from the main Lassi strip - at the top end towards Argostoli - the location was perfect, away from the busy main road but only a 10 - 15 min walk to the centre resort. Yes there is a bit of a walk but for the wonderful views and the tranquility of the location makes it all worthwhile. The views and sunsets are amazing, even more so on a clear evening.

The accomodation is indeed newly refurbished and comrises of living area/kitchen (fully equipped with fridge, appliances and ample cutlery and crockery) with dining table, large sofa and wardrobe. separate bedroom (with double bed!) and separate en suite power shower and toilet. Everything was seemingly brand new and fully equipped with plenty of storage. each studio has 2 yes 2 balconies! one off of the bedroom and one off of the living area. The general decor and standard of finish is fantastic in all rooms.

Like most greek apartments the water is heated using solar power and hot water was generally not available in the morning. In the evening however this was never a problem. Bins were emptied and Rooms tidied daily with linen changes twice a week and plenty of clean towels

There are 3 levels to the apartments and whilst the views maybe slightly restricted on the ground floor, we were on the middle level and the views were great. On the top level there is also a sun terrace with 4 sunbeds. On the downside there is no pool but when you have some of the best beaches on the island only 20 mins away this isnt a major issue.

Air conditioning is available but for an extra 50Euros a week we decided it was a luxury not needed.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday and the Irini Studios made for the perfect base for which to explore. I would have no reservations recommending this accomodation to everyone.

We recently stayed in the Irini apartments in Lassi, Kefalonia, Greece (June 2008) We booked this through the travel channel on Sky and got a really good deal. I then went to research Lassi itself and also the Irini apartments. I went to my local library and took out The Lonley Planet plus other guide books on Greece. All of them did not rate Lassi and the Irini apartments which I looked up on the internet had really bad reviews. We were now not so excited about our week away and was preparing for a week of hell!
The transfer time from the airport to the Irini apartments in Lassi was only 10/15mins which was great. Our guide said the apartments were really nice and we were very puzzled after doing our research. To our surprise she was right, they had been completely refurbished and it was like entering a brand new apartment, new kitchen, bathroom, very clean, it was great and I would definitely reccomend staying here. We were so so relieved that I really felt strongly about writing this review for anyone else who was thinking of staying here. We were told that it was a very steep hill to walk up to, but it was not a hill, more of a slope and the coach took us very close to the entrance which was good.

Lassi itself is a great little place, lots of restaurants a couple of late bars, so something for everyone. We hired a car and visited most of the island and we were still happy that we were staying in Lassi. All the apartments had a little balcony and the view was lovely, overlooking the bay and it felt like we were quite high up even though it was only a 5mins walk into Lassi. I hope this will help anyone trying to decide to stay here. The books I read were obviously out of date and sometimes it doesn't pay to read old reviews on the internet.

  • Liked — the view from the balcony and the new bathroom and kitchen
  • Disliked — air conditioning had to be paid for, 45Euros for 1wk

I have just got back from my holiday in Lassi.. we had the best time. I'm 21 and my partner is 24 and we enjoy places with things to see and explore and wanted a place that wasn't too lively but still had things to do on a night. This was perfect for us.
The studio's are small and basic but for the money you pay you should expect this.
We spent very little time in the room and had a balcony with a beautiful veiw of the ocean.

The studio's are located up a small but very steep hill but if it wasn't for being higher up you wouldn't have the lovely view and be away from the road side. There is a small supermarket 2 mins down the hill with a friendly owner...Gerry! He also owns the lovley bar above the shop that has the best sunset views.

We also paid for air con in our room which I think is a must. It was 45 euro's for the week but well worth it!
We did however have no running water for a whole night, due to the extremly warm weather aparantly.

There was no pool but we did have a nice jacuzzi with a few sun lounges on a terrace with another nice ocean view.

The maid visited our room everyday and made our bed and changed towels, however she never cleaned the floor or surfaces.

The studio's are quite central on the strip of lassi and just down the road from argostolli.

I would reccomend these studio's if you are on a budget but maybe not for people who wouldn't easily get up and down the steep hill.
