The hotel is located close to the airport so noise from the airplanes was expected but it wasnt any problem. I would like to say that my boyfriend and I encountered 3 receptionists while staying there, the youngest one wasnt knowledgable or helpful at all. We met her when we were checking in and she did inform us about where the local supermarket was etc and she also told us that the local bus that stops at a nearby busstop does not go to Kamari, the closest town to the hotel. If we wanted to go there then we could pay 4 euros each one way for the hotel shuttle bus and when staying at a 5 star hotel, things like that usually are free. We decided to take the local bus and try our luck and the bus did stop in Kamari, you just have to ask the bus driver before you get on whether or not the bus stops at the destination where you want to go. And it only costs 1.5 euros ;). Kamari is only 3 km away from the hotel and we walked to our hotel in the evenings, it is a 45 min walk, and walking during the night was actually quite relaxing. Just keep in mind they do not have pedestrian pavements so you have to keep a look out for cars, atv's and scooters. The guy who took our bags and took us to our room was very nice and helpful. The breakfast table was full of different things so I dont have any complaints. The hotel had nice surroundings, with beach plams everywhere and a large pool area with a big pool and a jacuzzi. There were always lounge tanning beds available. The cleaning ladies were very sweet and came and cleaned our room everyday and even tidied up our things for us too, like they would fold our clothes and hang them on the chair if they were laying around, that was very sweet of them. The room was a good size for two people. The air conditioning worked very well but the Wifi was kind of slow. Overall, the other staff at the hotel like servants during breakfast were sweet and attentive and were very polite. But the hotel does not fit the 5 star standard, I would give it 3 stars. But Santorini is a beautiful place with a lot of things to see and do, so the vacation was very relaxing and enjoyable.
