“An out of this world experience for two adults without kids!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2012

As collectors of Playmobil, we had longed to visit this Fun Park just a few minutes west of Nuremberg in Zirndorf. So on our way to the nearby medieval village of Rothenburg on the Tauber, we popped in to the Fun Park for two hours on a sunny Friday morning. Admission was just 9 euros each, and we were off to explore the this big playground designed for the two to eight year old visitor. We fit in just fine without our two sons, who are now in their twenties. Maybe we can return one day with some grandkids or borrow someone else's children.

We loved every area of the playground...western, farm, pirate, mermaid, zoo and other themed parts. Hubby walked the plank entrance to the pirate ship without falling into the lake. He survived a swinging chain bridge that the little ones just scampered across. We washed and brushed the manes of the farmyard horses, but could bend low enough to milk the cows complete with working udders. Hubby panned for gold and searched for treasures inside four foot wide clam shells. We decided not to tempt fate by poling a raft across the lake because we did take a change of clothes and thus could not fall in and remain dry. And we both enjoyed moving rocks with real equipment in the excavation pit.

All the little tykes relished getting wet, digging in the sand and and climbing on all sorts of structures. Parents enjoyed watching their wee ones wear themselves out with all of the physical activity. Families brought picnics of healthy foods, and we sampled the lovely fresh strawberry crepes from one of the many food stands.

The best part was that this is not a commercial park...there are no shops every ten meters full of expensive Disney trinkets and foods. We saw no kids throwing tantrums to get expensive toys...they were too busy playing hard and wearing themselves out.

On the way out there is a large Playmobil store, that can be accessed without a pass to the park. We looked around a bit and came away with four small bags of accessories for a total of ten euros.

We wish that there could be a Fun Park like this in every city in the US. A day of family fun with lots of physical exercise is truly a winner in our books. Don't miss this place if it is nice day and you enjoy life. There is a huge building for inside play, and they offer dryers to dry wet clothes. Do pack spare clothes and shoes for everyone as getting soaked is part of the fun. Check their calendar as the park is closed in winter.

“GREAT FUN well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2012

Having recently been ripped off and highly dissapointed visiting Legoland in UK - this place is the complete opposite. Playmobil land is REALLY good - lots of fun - very reasonable price (9 euro per person kids under 3 free) - just as comparison we paid 60 pound per person in Legoland!
There are lots of fun & educational bits along the Playmobil theme - dinosaurs/ pirate ship etc as well as an enorimous indoor climbing (ropes/ slides/ ladders etc) and outdoor playground - as well as a big playmobil play area. You can event get very reasonable coffee at the coffee bar and food was quite ok kids lunch menu (drink/ main dish & yoghurt with a free playmobil figure and hologram plastic drink cup was 4.95 euro - really not bad!!). Well worth a visit.

“Absolutely perfect for kids around age 5”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

I say this because the place is essentially a series of many playgrounds, and each one is a good mental as well as physical test for your young ones. I can't imagine a child above 10 would think this place was challenging, and if your kids are too small they won't be able to interact fully. The outdoor part of this park also has many water-related activities, so on a warm day, bring swimwear for the kids (or do the European thing and let your kids run around in their underwear, even up to totally inappropriate ages of 8!). There's also a large indoor play area where kids can play with the toys (I would guess at least 100,000 euros worth of toys). Prices in the spring after 1500 are 6 euro for adults and children. There is free parking there on the street, but good luck finding a spot. There is a parking garage but prices are 4 euro per day. As long as you realize that this isn't an an amusement park but a playground, it's pretty cool.

“A 'must visit' for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2012

We visited the Playmobil funpark for the second year running with our two children (ages 5 & 7). With a reasonable entrance fee this park is fantastic with both an indoor play area (with lots of Playmobil products to play with...) and outdoor play area areas based on Playmobil themes (western, farm, castle, pirates etc.). Great restaurant with good quality food at reasonable prices. There is of course a large shop selling the complete Playmobil range, but we thought the prices very reasonable with some good offers.
We stayed in the Playmobil Inn apartments which are based just across the road which again are excellent.

“Really interactive theme park, fantastic value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2012

We went on a rainy day, and stayed overnight in camper parking. It t took us ages just to get the kids past the first bit of the park, which is a room with a huge amount of play mobile to play with. staff constantly cleaning pieces.
Great restaurant
Price is really good value for a whole days entertainment
Castle with treasure hunt.
Farm area with huge play mobile horses that kids can brush and wash down.
Our favourite area was the treasure area, where you sift through sand and find jewels, i loved it as much as the kids. too many things too mention
best ages 2 - 10
Buy playmobil here it is so much cheaper
