“Clean & Convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

Well located across from beach. Modern look. Rooms are a level above basic, but very clean & convenient. Air conditioning works :)) Many restaurants located close by and walking distance to nearly everything.

Location right on the beach and the view from the sea view rooms is great - but is a bit noisy when the beach is raked and cleaned in the mornings (we only stayed a night so don't know if this happens every morning).
Rooms are clean and a reasonable size. Breakfast is basic continental. The town itself is very touristy and is not really a romantic or foodie place.
The service was excellent especially the blond lady on reception and the chap who ran the bar.

Room Tip: The sea views rooms have a balcony and a great view.

I confirm what other people said about the hotel: in the center of a turistic city, nice sea view, clean. Not a romantic location because is close to a parking lot and in a very trafficated road, but you are just on the beach. It's depends what you are looking for. Room price fair, bar price touristic: 5 euro for a liter of water it isn't cheap. The young guy at the desk very kind, the blonde lady not so much.

Wonderful hotel on the sea front. Quite quirky, but does' exactly what it says on the tin'.
The rooms overlloking the sea have panoramic views overlooking the Med. large king bed. Decorated in a minimalist fashion. Breakfast is typical for the area, some think expensive, but we got fruit and a yoghurt for lunch, and the bread is really fresh. The staff are exceedingly helpful and will provide beach towels on request.
The area is a 25 euro taxi ride from Montpelier airport, full of good restaurants, quaint shops and a fantastic beach.
Late April early May is Fiesta time, free entertainment, bull runs and definitely an atmosphere

Room Tip: If you want a bath, ask at booking. Some roms only have a small shoer room

Great location to explore the area, friendly helpful staff. We had a comfortable clean Sea Facing room with a nice balcony on 2nd floor (no lift) for 112euro/night & after reading other reviews we paid an extra 10euro/night for a garage which proved to be a great idea as parking was impossible. We used the Brasilia as a base and explored the Petite Camargue (flamingoes, white horses & black bulls), Aigues Mortes (old walled town) and Bouzigues (oysters & fresh seafood) All the reataurants we tried were very average so no recommendations. Had breakfast at local boulangerie Eugene one morning, stale croissants & the next we tried Chez So in orange apartment building (yes orange with pink umbrellas) next door, 2 croissants, OJ & tea or coffee 4.50 euro. I think breakfast onsite may have been a better idea. Palavas is a very busy touristy town that is great for people watching. It wasn't what we expected but we had a great time here as there is so much to look at, beach badmington in the evenings, groups (50+) of roller bladers whizzing by at night, interesting trashy tourist shops, kids sailing lessons of a morning and lovely sunrises & sunsets, but people watching was the best, we saw some very strange and interesting sights.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a garage & sea facing room

So, this is a very nice hotel. We got a main beachview facing room with balcony, in peak season (July), for 112 euros. We had the option of a room for 90 euros, which is a similar size, but you can only see the beach if you shift around in the balcony. So get the nicer room -- there's something to be said for waking up to a direct view of the beach.

The hotel itself was nice. It is RIGHT along the beachfront road. You should also know, however, that it's at the end of the beach and right in front of the busier area of Palavas. This is good because you're close to everything. But it also means that it's loud. And it's particularly loud because it's right in front of the kids-friendly area of the beach.

Inside though, it's VERY clean. Quiet at night. Front desk staff was helpful. Breakfast was good, and they deliver to your room for no extra charge. Nice tvs, although nothing in english. Large clean bathrooms, although it's weird that they only have one trashcan in the entire room. Good AC and a safe in each room. A little weird that the front desk is closed overnight (from 11 to 7 a.m.), but they are available via phone.

So my only complaint, i guess, is just Palavas. I should have read up a little more, because it's just kind of a cheap beach town. Think Ocean City, MD. Think Jersey Shore. DO NOT think it's Cape Cod or Nantucket.

One tip - if you do go - get a reservation @ L'Escale down the street. pricey, but REALLY good meal.

Stayed here recently during tour around South West France.
Very nice room with a side sea view. The room has a huge double bed so a good night sleep!
The hotel was very busy even in mid November so I guess that says how good it is.
