We were staying in Guerberschwihr and stumbled across "Le Goldert". We enjoyed the plate de jour and were pleasantly surprised. At the cost of 13 € this was a delightful meal. It consisted of Terrine and salad, veal with rice in a delicious sauce followed by a Creme Anglaise and soft meringue. We also shared a half bottle of wine which went down a treat.
The decore and ambience was authentic Alsace, with a lovely cloth on the table with cloth napkins. The restaurant was full, there wasn't a spare table to be had and with one waitress on duty, she handled all the guest with ease. We were served in an appropriate time, no waiting, it was seamless.
If you are in the area it is a restaurant to try. They also have the next door shop which specialises in Foie Gras. It is called Boutique Canoie.
