“Nice little place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

Family run restaurant with friendly service and good food. Food cooked simply, which seems to be the way out there, but fresh and tasty. Enjoyable quite evening local to our hotel.

“CUSTOMER SERVICE?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Our friends and I have just spent a very enjoyable week in Plat and was recommended this restaurant by the
lady who rented us her holiday apt. The first night we tried this establishment we asked for Lamb of which was told was not available. We all finally chose the steak and vegetables which arrived cold and was asked if we could have them heated a little without ruining them. This did not materialise so hey ho we thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt and try on our last night. We again asked for lamb chops and was told once again 'not available' so we order a seafood selection again 'not available'. The third thing we asked for was the house speciality of fish pate and was then told for a third time ' not available' as this gets thrown in the bin! We asked the very rude waitress who I think was the owners daughter why this was still on the menu. She rudely retorted ' well another month and this will be closed for the season' and walked away with a couldn't care attitude. We all then promptly got up from the table and walked out! There was not excuse for her rudeness even if the restaurant was closing soon - she only had to politely say this was the case and we would have understood. We then went to Flamingo Restaurant about a five minute drive from there and had the most super meal and attention from a young waiter that we nicknamed 'Joe'.

“Best restaurant in region!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013 via mobile

"KONOBA KING"
Best restaurant in the region, meat platter, fish platter, service, cleanliness ... no coment!!! Of our seven days that we spent in the Plat of 6 dinner we ate at Tavern King. Family is very polite and approachable that you feel like you're home.
Believe it is worth a visit ;)

“Wish we'd tried it earlier in the week”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

King has a varied menu including five items for veggies and the food was plentiful and well prepared. The restaurant was full of locals and English speakers so the French and Germans must go somewhere else since the menus were in several languages.
There was a good variety of fish items which looked very good. The House wine was good. After the initial good service, the waits between courses increased to the very slow indeed. The children got tired of waiting and called to the waiter for the dessert menu - unheard of. I think, in fairness, they were one person short but it was not well organised.

Food was delicious and staff very friendly. We enjoyed the mussels which came on a huge plate to start, I had seabass as main which was cooked to perfection!
